There are places we pass through in life… and there are places that become part of who we are.
Manchester will forever be my home.
To the city, the club, and every supporter, my sincerest thank you. These past four years have been unforgettable, filled with moments my family and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. There simply aren’t enough words to describe the happiness and warmth we’ve felt here.
Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day.
Forever a Red Devil ❤️
📹 VIDÉO - #Insolite : Pendant la coupe des griffes, une marmotte semble avoir déjà accepté son destin… tandis que l’autre panique à chaque coup de coupe. Une scène aussi drôle que totalement théâtrale.
Realtime edit is an insane new model.
It generates images with near-zero latency based on your reference input(s) and prompt. You can draw, upload images, or even stream video 🤯
I got early access from @krea_ai. Two of my favorite use cases so far 👇
🚨🗣️ Young player Nico Garrido from Sant Andreu during a youth tournament:
"Barça left me out of their team, when I grow up they'll explain it to me."
"Lamine Yamal? I don't know what's wrong with him, he's 18 years old but thinks he's Messi."
up at 4am and I genuinely don’t think that anyone should be bothered about who wins 2027 or 2031 again .
Having conversations with Nigerians has radicalized me badly and this isn’t some elitist or naive POV .
A critical mass of Nigerians deeply believe in bad ideas
We need to talk about what’s happening to an entire generation…. I’m worried for my kids (this novel below can be for entrepreneurs / investors / or young women)
That girl crying because she “felt nothing” on a perfectly good date? She’s not broken. She’s been rewired.
We live in an instant gratification society that’s completely divorced from how life actually works:
Want food? Uber it. 30 minutes.
Want entertainment? Netflix it. Instant.
Want a date? Swipe it. Endless options.
Want dopamine? Scroll it. Non-stop hits.
Even want a dog playdate? There’s an app for that.
Everything worth having can be summoned with a tap…EXCEPT THINGS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER
You can’t app your way into a meaningful relationship. You can’t one click a sense of belonging. You can’t Amazon Prime a purpose.
But your brain doesn’t know that anymore. Social media has hijacked your reward system. Every scroll gives you a tiny dopamine hit…new face, new drama, new possibility. Your brain now expects relationships to feel like infinite scroll: effortless stimulation, zero investment, next option one swipe away.
Real human connection doesn’t work like that. It’s slow. It’s awkward at first. It requires investment before you see returns. Real connection is built through:
Shared struggle + Shared purpose (serving at church, volunteering, building something) + Shared presence (showing up when it’s boring, when it’s hard, when there’s no audience)
The “spark” you’re waiting for? It’s not supposed to strike like lightning. It’s supposed to be built…through consistency, vulnerability, and time. But you’ll never feel it if your brain is constantly comparing real life to the highlight reel, the algorithm, the fantasy.
Build slow, build real. Friendships that last decades start boring. Relationships that endure start imperfect. Community requires showing up on Tuesday nights when you’d rather be home.
Real life wants you present, connected, and building.
Choose accordingly.
An incredibly fascinating case I've spent a lot of today reading.
- Jeremiah "Jerry Boy" Useni bought a house with stolen money, as Nigerian Generals do, and without thinking too much of it, registers it in the name of a non-existent woman.
- Nearing the end of his life, he perhaps wants to give the house to Barrister Ozekhome (a SAN, I hasten to add) to settle a debt or as a gift
- As the fake woman in whose name the property is owned does not exist, Ozekhome finds an actual living man with the same name to transfer the property to him
- Court says house belongs to woman so man cannot obviously transfer it. A right old mess ensues that leads to practically every type of Nigerian identity documentation proven to be fake (so when next your Nigerian document is looked at with suspicion outside of Nigeria, it is because of people like these).
-Ozekhome's "clever" plan backfires. Court says property belongs to non-existent woman and since woman is non-existent, she cannot transfer property because, nemo dat.
- Jerry Boy is now dead. Property stuck.
As I always say, the behaviour of the Nigerian elite is truly something to behold
Saw a video of someone arguing that “travel is the new luxury flex” bc millennials can’t afford traditional signals of progress (home/marriage/kids).
Id expand that theory to all forms of entertainment. Events/experiences are centered around content, not fans/enjoyment.
The craziest thing about money is that as soon as you start making the amount you thought would solve all your problems, for some reason, it’s still not enough.
