The nice thing is you can have arbitrary disk space, cpu and memory because you can scale up, faster testing,

and you can work on it from different computers. When I'm home I work from my desktop, when I'm in vacation I use my laptop.

The only thing you need to solve is a quick sync of your local file changes to the server. I'm a web developer and I have a custom sync script that uploads any changes in under 1s to the server. It's seamless.

Dropbox syncs the local files between my two computers. So both computers are up to date.
