@aminadoce@DylanALTKY I don't know how many more ways to tell you this will never happen. They are not going to loosen their naturalisation laws just to have a crap national team. They don't have the citizen base to put a proper team out, and they are happy with Monaco FC representing them.
@aminadoce@DylanALTKY no, but are they going to stay at Monaco FC for the 10 years it takes before you can apply for naturalisation? Not impossible, but you absolutely cannot build a 26 man squad around the small amount of players who will do that.
@aminadoce@DylanALTKY They could, but they won't. They are very keep on keeping the place a playground of the Ultrarich, to get residency you pretty much have to be a multimillionaire, let alone citizenship.
@aminadoce@DylanALTKY There is not a large diaspora of Monégasque. Even using the full extent of of the grandfather rule I doubt Monaco could put together a national team worthy of the name.
@Willynumnum maybe that is why it seems to have descended into the first anti-sportswashing event a country has put on. A sports-soiling event if you will.
@lukeakehurst you can't have it both ways. You "shook off the fleas" and you you told us where the door was. We went through it. Labour can't both say the millions who voted for a Corbyn led labour party are revolting antisemitic scum and now demand we vote for you.
This Henry Novak issue is crazy because actively both of these children are children of migration, but we’re flying flags of ‘Britain’ because he was white killed by someone brown.
This just shows it’s never been about your country, and just about your race.
@roryken2000 My hot take is that it is the UK national anthem, and the constituent nations should have their own anthems. England should have Jerusalem or I Vow To Thee My Country. NI can have Derry's Walls or something.
@venuusblue Because the hatred of the USSR is all encompassing. It is their ultimate "big bad". Therefore all the people who collaborated with the nazis and joined the balken SS divisions must be heroes - because they fought the USSR. The nazi sympathies follow from that.
@echetus because there is a lot of them there and they can carry nasty life changing diseases like Lyme and AGS. Thankfully here in the UK ticks are less widespread and the risk of contracting a tick-borne disease is much lower (although still present).
@isaiah_bb Initial gut reaction was Guadalcanal because I absolutely hate the cold. But even a couple of seconds thought makes Bastogne the obvious answer.
