Exodus 15:2 ESV — The LORD is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
As an American living in a large city in Southern Europe, there are definitely some things I miss:
1. Central AC. I want it cool in every room. Even when I wake up first thing in the morning.
2. Biscuits and Gravy. And good bacon. The stuff over here is just gross.
3. Having a yard. And a place to park my car.
4. Thanksgiving and July 4th
6. A decent burger from a drive-thru. I’m not choosing between In-and-Out and Whataburger. I like them both.
6. A bank (or post office) that’s open in the afternoon.
7. Getting groceries, medicine, tires, and ammo from the same store.
8. Diet Dr Pepper
9. BBQ not being a verb, but being a noun. It’s meat cooked low and slow. SC, Memphis, Texas. Doesn’t matter. I love it all.
10. Bojangles, Chick-Fil-A, and Tex-Mex restaurants on every corner.
11. College football. It’s better than NFL, I don’t care what you say.
12. Ice.
I’m sure there are others. What would you add?
@DrMToboggin@BrandonGaudin Maybe they can redeem it by using it behind a pharmaceutical ad.
Big difference in my opinion... way to go @BrandonGaudin ... great clip!
@someobscurename Yeah I had a copy til a recent purge 🙂 but I recall being underwhelmed (and I am not even positive I finished it. Unlike my multiple reads of the Space Trilogy 😃)
At the hospital for the next PET scan and would you know that God was kind enough to grant me a Christian nurse. We ended up talking about the sovereignty of God over cancer. Classic!
