I had the pleasure of travelling with him and Joyce in that car that year when he had a gig at an American Air Base in Huntingdonshire. Coincidentally was my 19th birthday. @ArthurJEdwards A far cry from when you drove us to various All England Schools athletics events in your Volkswagen fastback circa 1968-74. I recall first sightings of Daley Thompson, Fatima Whitbread and ‘Black Flash’ Calvin Greenaway who went on to be Governor of Barbados). Great days Arthur.
