@cremieuxrecueil Funny thing we had here in Sweden was when after an election and no majority was formed for a while, it was one of the best periods economically. (Within a narrow timeframe)
Basically everything just kept going and if something was not a pressing issue it was not touched.
@KyleMau The amount of different places for the kids to play soccer and other stuff are too much to count and even have old-growth forest. But no roman statues, that would be weird in sweden
@KyleMau I also have at least 100 kilometers of connected crosscountry ski tracks that allows me to ski to the other side of the city if I wanted. A lot of nature areas are just around the corner(have to pass through it to get to the supermarket.
Work with some #ND people, if there is something I can expect of them it is that they are on time, every time. They also hold me to the same standard, they get really upset if someone is late, and will call it out.
@xdabluesfan@QueenJuju06@webdevMason Same thing in the mornings, I might be the last out of bed, but I am ready for the day first, because when I leave the bed everything happens in one go, without stop, until I am ready for the day.
That's why I usually ends up waiting, I don't stop until I have to.
@xdabluesfan@QueenJuju06@webdevMason The mental load of just getting to the car is bigger for her than me, even if we checked the same things, both changed clothes, got the necessary things, checked ourselves in the mirror, put on shoes, locked the door.
I: I just got ready
@pucolet@somethings_awry Used a good LLM for a bit of requirement writing, one hour used up 10 dollar, 2 million input tokens, don't remember the output count.
So 100 bucks is just enough for a day...
@JulieMeme@MeatGuyJ I believe it was a problem in the UK for a while in pubs because the big companies bought a lot of pubs and only served their own stuff mostly, don't know how true that is.
@zandpreme@saveusculture Working in code right now without any mallocs, The software has upper bounds in both space and time. It is fascinating how useful it still can be, hard choices just have to be made!
@saveusculture Some of us program on z80 for fun! (64kb addressable space) And 1/1000 of the clocksspeed, without a multiply instruction..
The unlimited pizza and coffee only works for short durations, between that I need nature, sun and family.
@GarrieIrons@slash1sol I use it also for requirements and other documents. Tried it simple markdown and org-mode org mode gives the best functions. Combining with logseq or obsidian gives something that makes it work for non technical people
@ZPostFacto I was agreeing and singing along until I saw that it was crypto functions that you had a gripe with. For some reason I don't want them to be void star.
@valyala At one time I was tasked with improving the memory usage of a service that used a lot of memory, the service kept everything in memory to be fast. I made the service several times faster by shrinking the memory usage. The service was also able to handle larger datasets faster
