@IanDunt So what this ban has done is raise the profile of an organisation which really has no credibility. But, I must argue, they have the absolute right to say what’s on their minds. It’s up to discerning listener to decide whether or not what they say has merit, and/or, important.
So today during PMQs the PM harangued the leader of the SNP for politicising the Post Office fiasco! What he failed to note was that the first question today, from 30p Lee, was apparently blaming the leader of the Liberal Democrats for the whole mess. Was that not Politicising?
So, as it seems that the only way you can get politicians interest in a cause is to commission and broadcast a TV programme, I’m in the process of writing a number of scripts. The subject matter includes the Windrush Generation, Grenfell Tower and how footballers are undervalued!
Why oh why oh why does food packaging, which needs to be heated, not contain air frying instructions? Isn’t about time food producer understood the needs of their clients?
@MarkKieranUK So if the standard 700ml wine bottle is replaced by a 1 pint bottle (approximately 568ml), will the price change? However, considering that most wine drunk in the UK is imported from countries running the SI system of units this seems extremely unlikely to happen.
@RalphBlackburn Hi Ralph I’m a 74 year old man who was brought up on the mathematics of the Imperial but love the simplicity of the SI system. I am a Scientist 😁
@RalphBlackburn Hi Ralph read your article today on Apple News about the non-return of imperial measures. Just as well for you as you stated that 12 ounces make a pound! Incorrect, as there are actually 16 ounces in a pound. Cheers
@hettiewagtail Everyone employed in the NHS is still in training! They all have to undertake mandatory training on a regular basis (including Consultants) to update their skills and knowledge.
Elton John’s performance at Glastonbury was brilliant but unfortunately he spoiled it by thanking Glastonbury and England! Which was immediately after he had thanked Davey Johnstone his guitarist of 50+ years from Scotland. I’m sure the UK & NI also had a lot do with his success!
@macstephens9@DavidLammy No it’s not it! Why couldn’t she just ask a friend to investigate (perhaps she hasn’t any). Instead she asks civil servants to investigate her options. They are paid by taxpayers to do work for us. Not to resolve her personal issues. That’s the problem!
@GaryLineker As a boy I used to swim in the River Almond in Cramond, Edinburgh. Had to keep my mouth shut to avoid ingesting the jobbies (Scottish word for faecal excrement).
