@owenbroadcast I can dig this, I'm enjoying this thread a lot - though the idea that God is, "beyond," pain doesn't seem to be entirely absent from Modern Western Christianity. I think that's what C.S. Lewis was trying to describe in The Great Divorce: Solid Woman vs Tragedian Ghost guy
Plumber's bill was lower than I'd expected, this is the text I sent my wife about how relieved I was that we'd save a little money, and her response. Maybe it's sad that she's accepted it as a given that all extra money in our house goes to #bagpipes ... maybe it's just cool...
I can plan on failing at least 40% of all sets when trying to work out while listening to #TAZGraduation
Good goofs, you McElroy dudes. You make my life better.

@pipersdojo just listened to the podcast w/A. Fusco-I already point my students to the Dojo, I'd only be even more excited to if there were a referral payout! But dude, what about bands? If my band knew they'd get, say $10/mo back for members they refer to the Dojo? Lots would!

...I think this episode will be good for me...
@tonymeade @prancingponypod Oh, awesome, what a great point! That shadow passed *between,* them, isolating Frodo from Bilbo. I'd read it more like a shadow falling upon Bilbo and Frodo witnessing it. What a great point! So cool! Thanks for sharing, Tony!
Did Frodo, maybe, see the Gollumesque version of Bilbo that, over the previous decades had begun to form in the, "Shadow Realm," in the same way he'd recently seen the Wraiths as they, "truly are," because of his fading spell after Weathertop?
