@grandnozomi HGSS is just a straight upgrade over Crystal

I'm fighting my arch nemesis, VRoid Studio, today.

Controversy aside, what's a tool that doesn't already exist that streamers would actually use? Twitch has been around for so long that all the tools that aren't gimmicks already exist.

OpenAI and Twitch are teaming up to see what developers can build for the Twitch community with AI.

The top five will be featured at Twitchcon.

It's all coming together

@thatoneguy7560 I just want to read my iyashikei, but they're putting beautiful women on every other page of my YC Retsu issue 😟

@callsignDuster Out of the ashes of industry contraction, an American gacha giant will arise (because that's the only way to stay in business now)

[Jimmzy @Jimmzy_1]

I opened Itch to see what other devs are doing for their menuing and now I've gotten sucked into random VNs.

[Jimmzy @Jimmzy_1]

I'm still working on the game, I swear!

The year is 2126. Humanity has established colonies on the Moon and Mars. You log on to X, the everything app, to pass the time on your interplanetary space flight. Gamers are still complaining about the latest flood of low quality games on Steam.

[Jimmzy @Jimmzy_1]

Learned what RPG Bakin was a month ago, and suddenly I see it and games made with it everywhere.

The future of gaming is every game being Freemium on a Roblox-like platform. Even before the fear of copycats was common, this was already how games became popular on platforms like Roblox.

No one wants to pay. Everyone wants to play.

A developer canceled a planned public demo over worries that AI could copy the game and release a clone first.

Drunken Goddess Reflux was set for a public demo on October 19. Alliance Arts will instead run a closed playtest with restrictions on sharing and streaming.

The studio says the issue goes beyond piracy. They fear players could study the demo’s gameplay and presentation, then use AI to clone it

“We are concerned that… works imitating or replicating this game’s presentation and gameplay could be quickly produced using AI or other tools and released ahead of the game’s launch.”

Genuinely wishing the team the best. I know game dev is in an awkward spot regarding AI usage (between the financial pressure to use it, and the pushback among consumers), and he even made a post relating to this.

Broke out the Claude generated website to e-beg 🥀

Hi everyone, how's it going? Honestly, I'm not doing well at all... Why, you ask...? Because the game our whole team had poured our hearts and souls into for about a year and a half was suddenly canceled...!! I mean, I lost my job overnight. Talk about a bolt from the blue...

So I decided to make an announcement now. To see if anyone might be interested in working with us or investing in our projects. And here's the announcement.

Actually, I started a company back in March of last year. It's a game studio specializing in video game design, direction, and narrative writing. (And... just between us, it's also a secret organization dedicated to protecting world peace.)

The name is... "CRASH KEYS"!!
https://t.co/HafLLqxdUE

My original plan was to reveal CRASH KEYS when we announced our new game. That was supposed to happen next year... in 2027. But then came that whole "bolt from the blue" incident... So I ended up having to move things up and go public with it today instead.

With that in mind, I would like to humbly ask you all for a favor... Please give us some work!! At this rate, our company might literally CRASH into a million pieces. My team and I may be forced to survive on nothing but cicada shells collected from a run-down park. So please, help us!! You're our only hope!!

For work requests, investment proposals, words of encouragement, or invitations to Law of Attraction seminars, we would be very grateful if you could contact us using the "CONTACT" form on our official website: https://t.co/HafLLqxdUE

Any support you could offer would mean the world to us. We sincerely look forward to hearing from you!

No devlog for the foreseeable future due to adverse conditions (you're still getting the alpha my game in November though 🫵)

No more Russians coming into English speaking streams and asking, "Вы говорите по-русски?" Before getting banned🥀

Twitch will soon add a new moderation feature called "Chat Noise Reduction."

The optional feature will let you restrict languages and set limits on message length, capital letters, ASCII art, repetitive posts, and more.

@glgrthm The worst? Nooo. It's great. It's a big lump of warmth.

@SeaWereWolf3 These kids don't know about downloading My Boy! on your shitty ObamaPhone and playing Emerald on the school bus.

@LBER_Dev She's super moe when she's freezing. Poor girl needs a muffler and pants. And also shoes.

We need more video games that make you consult academic textbooks to progress

[yoshimi battles dracula @nise_yoshimi]

horror games are kind of fucked a bit now, because as a genre they require friction but now if there's friction in your video game you're supposed to say We Hear You We Are Taking Accountability and then implement a patch that wanks the player off through the telly
