We want the whole world to stand with the women of Iraq.

This law separates children from their mothers, abolishes the legal marriage age of 18, and opens the door to child marriage. It contains major contradictions: a child is not allowed to choose to live with their mother until they turn 18, while at the same time, it would be possible for them to marry before the age of 18.

It also prevents women from inheriting land, and allows a husband to change the marriage contract before or after divorce and subject it to Jaafari law without the woman’s knowledge.

After the husband’s death, custody would be transferred to his family, and it would not return to the mother unless a religious authority approves it.

There are many other regressive provisions as well. I hope you will take a few minutes to research this law, and I hope you will stand with us and share our message.

Sau thời gian gần 5 ngày Gen Z đấu tranh cho “bạn mình” bị https://t.co/WMzlYEs6sY che.t dưới bánh xe của Đại biểu Quốc hội Nguyễn Sỹ Cương. Các bài viết này đồng loạt bị chặn hiển thị tại Việt Nam. Đơn vị yêu cầu chặn là vợ của ông, bà Lâm Thị Phương Thanh, Bộ trưởng Văn hóa.

Vào sáng ngày 13/8/2026, nhiều tài khoản trên Threads cho biết bài viết của họ “không hiển thị tại Việt Nam”. Vì “Bộ Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch Việt Nam đề nghị hạn chế khả năng tiếp cận bài viết của bạn”. Nhưng thật bất ngờ khi biết được vợ của ông Nguyễn Sỹ Cương là bà Lâm Thị Phương Thanh, Bộ trưởng Bộ Văn hóa Thể thao và Du lịch.

Bởi vậy cũng chẳng còn lạ gì, cũng một “giuộc” cả rồi. Chồng làm thì vợ bao che. Nhiều người cho rằng: Như vậy là ‘đúng quy trình’ rồi đấy. Trước sự kiện chặn bài viết không được hiển thị tại Việt Nam càng làm sục sôi tinh thần của các bạn trẻ. Họ liên tục đăng lại bài viết. Họ càng phẫn nộ hơn, khi biết “vợ chặn bài viết cho chồng”.

Vì thế, vào ngày 12/8/2026 đã có một triệu danh khoản “réo” đến cái tên “Nguyễn Sỹ Cương”.
