@Tesla I use FSD everywhere I go. The biggest problem is V14 took speed control away from the driver. FSD is 60-70% correct for speed at best and it does NOT work for variable speed zones. @Tesla, give us speed control back!
@teslavangelist The biggest cost is the supplies. I purchased the supplies myself and did most of the work, running the wiring and mounting the chargers. I hired an electrician to make the connections. Supplies were $700 and the electrician was $500. That was for two chargers in my garage.
@LamarMK I have two Model Ys and pay $325-$375 depending on the safety scores. I’m in Colorado, home to the worst drivers, according to insurance. I have shopped around and Tesla’s insurance is by far the best price.
@shady_tw@Tesla@teslaenergy It’s far cheaper to own and drive a Tesla than it was with my hybrid that averaged 45 mpg. That came out to 8 cents per mile for fuel plus maintenance. I pay 2 cents per mile for electricity and no maintenance.
@Markhaysss@Tesla@teslaenergy@grok We spend about $40/month in electricity for two Teslas. When we last both had ICE vehicles, over $150/month in gas plus maintenance.
@ExSanFran2010@CoffeeNGrit There are chargers all over the place. My family and I took an 800 mile round trip in the Colorado mountains and never had an issue. Plus, we do most of our charging at home so it is by far cheaper than gas and no regular maintenance. I’ll never go back to gas, too expensive.
@Tesla 750 miles through the Colorado mountains over three days, 8/28-8/31. Made the trip highly enjoyable and charging stops almost perfectly coincided with restroom breaks.
@VlVEK@Tesla It’s no different from your gas gauge telling you to stop to fill up. Tesla just provides the assistance with routing to chargers and insuring the battery never runs out. I don’t have to find a charger, but you have to locate a fuel pump. Seems your car is just as controlling.
@Tesla That’s hilarious! Almost there if I could be the grok update to my car. I used to get updates at the same time as my wife. Both cars are less that a year old.
@billykyle The only bad decision is waiting. I love my Model Y. Just took a 518 mile trip through the Colorado mountains yesterday with FSD. It’s nice to see the scenery while just monitoring the car. $43 in electricity vs $70 in gas. It’s a no brainer.
@Tesla I love using FSD but the latest version added a ton of bugs. I have to fight my car now more than before. It now wants to turn or make lane changes on two lane roads. I wish I could roll back to the previous version. Still needs a ton of work to be truly relaxing.
