You need to pay attention to how your spouse behaves when frustrated, because it will tell you more about the person than all the charm they showed when everything was going their way.
Courtship is a season where a lot of people put up their best behaviour, but marriage is a long season where the real person finally comes out to play.
Every couple has a quarrel that reveals something.
A husband who insults his wife in front of the children over every little issue is clearly showing you how he handles disappointment, and a wife who gives the silent treatment for days after an argument is also showing you how she handles hurt.
Nobody wakes up one morning and invents these habits. They were learnt in the homes we grew up in, and we digested them and carried them into our marriages.
For instance, when a husband is raised watching his father walk out whenever his mother challenged him, he learns that leaving is how a man handles conflict, and so he runs to his "boys" every time his wife raises an issue.
When a wife grows up hearing "Because I said so" as an order from her mother, she learns that questions are rebellion, and so she cannot hear her husband calmly say "I do not like that" without calling it disrespect.
A man raised in a house where the father was never wrong learns that apologising is for the weak, so he would rather buy his wife a wig, a phone, or a new set of jewellery before he says 3 simple words, "I am sorry."
Marriage is like a pot of soup that has been sitting on the fire for years. You can change the bowl, change the table, and even change the room you serve it in, but when the lid is lifted, it is the same soup.
If it was bitter in the first year and nobody addressed it, then 20 years later you will find that the bitterness has become more concentrated.
And we make it worse by excusing it. Someone will give the silent treatment, expecting the other person to feel the impact of a mistake made, and yet we say "he is just quiet."
A spouse will talk condescendingly to us and sometimes extend it to our family, and we will say "she is only expressing herself." Even when someone refuses to own mistakes that should be addressed, we say "he is a proud man."
Then we start moving from church to church, praying and fasting, asking the Almighty to change a person who has never been asked to change, and who has never been shown what changing looks like.
Frustration is not the enemy of a marriage. How we behave inside it is.
Two people can be equally angry. One will say "I am upset, let me calm down and we will talk," while the other will throw words that take years to heal.
The difference is not love, because both of them may love deeply. The difference is emotional maturity, and it can be learnt at any age.
A simple question like "What is it that I do when I am angry that hurts you?", asked calmly and followed by listening without defending yourself, does wonders in tense moments.
Learn to apologise first, even when you feel you were only 50% wrong, because the other 50% will rarely arrive if you wait for it, and things will keep deteriorating.
Saying "I need a moment" instead of just vanishing is healthier for your marriage.
And if you are still searching for a spouse, do not be carried away by how well someone behaves on a good day. Take time to study and watch them when they are tired, embarrassed, or not getting their way, because that is when the family they came from and it's dynamics reveal itself, and it is that person you will be coming home to for the next 40 years of your life.
Murderer @RobFinnertyUSA Murdered a 19yr old Michael Riley in 2008. Finnerty pleaded guilty to operating under the influence of Drugs in 2009 after the homicide charge was dropped. These are serious matters that should be discussed accurately and in their proper legal context.

@Localman254_ The moment you start taking your gf or wife to school is the same day she starts leaving you. You're not her parents, why pay school fees? Have you seen such a scenario end up being successful? Ask Freshley Mwamburi, hadi aliimba 😂
“wHy aRe tHerE iNdiaNs In pOrTuGaL?!”
Because they are good slaves, you are not.
I hate essay-posting but allow me a rare indulgence:
To understand what is happening now, you need understand that this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
Why are there Indians in Kenya? Suriname? Fiji? Burma?
Because Indians have always been the preferred servile class of elites. The evidence for this goes back hundreds of years.
I’ve spoken about British colonial Burma before, and it is a great example of what this looks like.
Even after extensive efforts to bring them to heel, the majority of the Burmese ethnic groups were far too resistant to submit to the British empire to be reliable labor. They refused to abandon their culture and ways of life to be slave drones for British pocketbooks. So the Brits started importing Indians to be their colonial administrators, preferring them as labor because they were easier to control and satisfy.
By the 1940s, Indians made up almost 20% of the population of the entire country.
Another great historical example of this is Suriname - a small country in South America that had been under Dutch colonial rule for 300 years.
The Dutch abolished slavery in 1863, forcing colonial plantation owners to have to hire labor to do the work they had previously been using slaves for. But… they didn’t want to pay former slaves or Indigenous locals a living wage for the work.
So what did the Dutch elites do instead? Import Indians.
Today, Indians still make up 27% of the population. 27%. Of a tiny, obscure South American country.
We could basically go through the list of every country with a non-negligible Indian population and the theme would be consistent: They were brought there by elites who needed a submissive, easily exploitable labor pool when local labor asked for better living conditions or wages.
Why? Because Indians never did. They are a population that seems fully content with subjugation (even Marx noticed this).
So it’s easy to see why they were such an ideal population for the intensive global expansion era of colonial empires. And it’s even easier to see why they are perfect subjects for late capitalism now.
They are the culturally, psychologically, and physically ideal organism for the dominant system.
There’s 1.4 billion of them. They are deeply socially stratified and so expect and even enjoy inequality. Their cuisine is cheap, meat-free slop. They live amongst trash and filth with no qualms. They don’t care about the environment. Their reaction to death and abuse is blank-eyed indifference. They are physically and spiritually malleable. They not only adopt and internalize the demands of the dominant system as personal ambition, they believe this servitude makes them better than everyone else who hasn’t.
Absolutely IDEAL subjects.
You, on the other hand, are not the ideal subject.
You want to live in a high-trust society. You would shed tears if someone tried to cut down the apple tree you climbed as a child to build a data center. You want to see and experience beauty. You want your own space. You have an expectation that your living conditions will improve over time. You would not be content to live in a room with 10 other people, work 16 hours per day for pennies, and eat cheap slop.
You are a liability. Just like the Burmese and Surinamese slaves were.
And as we continue to crawl deeper into this late capitalist hellscape, you and your silly little needs will come into increasing conflict with those of the system.
Thus, you WILL be replaced by people far easier to control and far less concerned about their own welfare or the welfare of everyone and everything around them.
… Unless you do something about it. But the system has already locked-in that you won’t, and that you’ll just sort of fade into nothingness, distracted by meaningless comforts and terrified of the uncertainty of change.
So “why are Indians in [wherever]?”
Because you are about to not be.
Young men have been deprived of the rite of passage that traditional marriage provided.
You meet a young lady, you're attracted to her, then face the reality that you only get her if you marry her.
And marrying her required a direct conversation with her father - a man who provided for her, guided her, and protected her for decades.
He shakes your hand - testing your grip, looking you in the eye for confidence or weakness.
He asks you about your plans for the future to test your vision, your goals.
He takes you out hunting or works you in the fields to test your physical prowess.
If you pass the tests, the man who has already proven himself walks his daughter down the aisle and hands responsibility for her over to you.
Sounds tough? It's supposed to be.
And when you pass the test, you get his support. He wants you to succeed. His approval should be your encouragement in dark moments. A man older and better than you believes in you and trusts you with his baby girl, one of his most prized things.
Always expect your woman to betray you.
Not because she’s evil. Not because she’s a bad person. Because her feelings come first. Always.
The biggest mistake men make is confusing current feelings with permanent loyalty. Today she’s obsessed, and tomorrow she’s confused. Next month she’s “finding herself.”
Men stay loyal to what they promised. Women stay loyal to how they feel. That’s the conversation. The moment her emotions change, the entire relationship gets reevaluated. That’s why men get blindsided.
She’ll tell you, “Nothing happened.” Then suddenly, “I haven’t been happy for a while.” Men think relationships end when betrayal happens. Women usually leave mentally long before they leave physically.
Never be shocked. Never be surprised. Never build your entire future on someone else’s emotions. The same feelings that brought her into your life can take her out of it.
Misunderstanding female nature costs men everything. Not because women are the enemy, but because attraction follows rules most men never learn.
Women are not built to lead. Never were.
Women are not built for leadership. Their psychology is shame-based, not guilt-based.
A man feels guilty when he does wrong even if nobody ever finds out. A woman only feels bad when she gets EXPOSED. One is internal morality. The other is external embarrassment.
That is not leadership. That is acting.
No accountability. No code. No spine. Just feelings, excuses, and moving the goalpost every 5 minutes depending on what benefits her.
You can't build a system on that. You can't build a country on that. You can't build a future on "I feel like..."
Facts don't care about feelings, but women do. You can show her proof, evidence, truth, logic, history - if it doesn't FEEL good she will reject it, attack you, and call you the problem.
Tell me how you build a civilization on that? You don't. It rots.
Men BUILD civilizations. Women birth the next generation INSIDE that civilization. That is the deal. That is biology. That is order.
When you flip it and let consumers run the factory, let feelings run logic, let the nurtured try to lead the builders - everything collapses.
Men lead. Women nurture. When you forget that, you don't get equality. You get extinction.
Hens don't crow at dawn. For a reason.
@unclelawr You can love women, but can't be "in love " with them. They are natural liars, and manipulators. They must be managed. Men should never entertain or accept women's bullshit. Your way or the highway, thats the only way that works
Marriages survived because men had the heart to endure women.
It lasted for generations because of MEN. Because of our emotional intelligence and our compassion for our wives.
Not because women were good partners. Because men learned to overlook a lot of stupid shit women do just to let peace reign.
Let's be real, women are NOT easy to live with.
They are not romantic. Their whole idea of romance is RECEIVING. What he bought for me, where he took me, what he did for me. Never what they give.
They are not funny. They are overly sensitive, they hate accountability, they hate saying sorry, they hate initiating sex with their own husbands, and they are controlling as hell. Stubborn and rebellious.
And that domestic violence you hear about in marriages? Most of it is STARTED by the wife. Pushing, slapping, throwing things, talking reckless, provoking until the man reacts. Then she wants to play victim.
Look at any relationship that doesn't have a man in it,it doesn't work.
Lesbians? Highest divorce rate. Highest abuse rate. Because there is no man there to tolerate their violence and their emotions. Two women together can't handle each other.
Female friendships? Even worse. Pure gossip, backbiting, jealousy, cutting each other off over the most childish things.
They will have 10 female friends by 2022. By 2026, only 2 are left. She has fought with ALL of them. Every single one is now an enemy.
But men are the problem.
