According to ancient tradition, Enoch was the great-grandfather of Noah who “walked faithfully with God” and was taken to heaven without experiencing death (Genesis 5:24).

Love once gurgled through my veins,
Rang out of my shy heartbeats,
Ravenous silence in my throat,
Glistered like life in my eyes,
Unworldly tranquillity in yours,
