Hot take: once large amounts of money and support are on the table, you do owe your fans something in the way of an explanation or at least a "hey I'm not going to be live for a while." You don't owe details, and you don't owe content, but it is a little scummy to leave fans waiting for nothing. No one minds needing time, it's the silence and *literally* banking on hope that upsets them. I could never imagine treating the people who support me that way and especially not on such a mass scale. Maybe it's because I was raised to be grateful for the people who care about me, but who knows. I just think at the end of the day, it's a little shitty, and people are allowed to be upset about it.
