Updated this list so it now contains artists that have put a R&B or "R&B adjacent" song from 2020 onwards.
Also I am extremely appreciative of there being over 1000 visits to a list that I created and something I put a lot of time into - https://t.co/kLI1Uc7NJT
Here is something I created earlier this year that I thought I should post here (I feel it deserves more visibility)
A list I have put together of artists that have put a R&B or "R&B adjacent" song out from 2018 onwards (read the 'Note' at the top) - https://t.co/kLI1Uc7fUl
It also doesn't help that we no longer have any decent platforms to do the above (people who have been on this platform long enough know how much better it was). So now we have accepted using bad platforms on the internet because there are no alternatives that are good enough.
I really just want to share music / artists with as many people that are looking for new music, but the algorithm on this platform really kills that desire so fast.
R&B needs more popular platforms and they need to be rooted in the actual love of the genre. We really need to get away from this discourse that happens so frequently within the R&B space from lazy people or people that can't move past the nostalgia of the music

@jackfreemanjr I agree with there being issues on both the consumer and artists side. Artists are accountable for the quality they put out and consumers need to stop being lazy with searching for music and actually demanding better from artists that don't seem like they are putting effort in.
Sometimes I question if my expectations for music is higher than it should be for certain artists or if the algorithmic numbers / the consumer feedback have had some effect on the quality of the music that these mainstream acts are choosing to put out.
