Rajasthan High Court on Wednesday directed @IncomeTaxIndia to extend deadline for filing tax audit reports & related income tax returns for AY 2025–26 by 1 month.
@IncomeTaxIndia must now push the due date from Sept 30 to Oct 31, court said in an interim order, offering relief to taxpayers & professionals who had sought more time.
The order technically applies only in Rajasthan unless challenged before the Supreme Court, but tax experts say it could prompt CBDT to issue a nationwide extension
