Early in the Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD), pioneer Zhang Qian journeyed into the Western Regions of the Empire, and introduced them to grape seeds. And you know what that meant? Better wine!

Dunhuang was great for growing grapes and the city's wine travelled far and wide.

The game we're currently working on, Dunhuang: The Silk Road, is the 2nd in Jing Studio's Chinese City Series.

In ancient China, "liang" was used as the unit of gold. It made trading and long-term wealth storage a lot easier.
