My field team in Xiushan, Chongqing. 436 million-years-old fossils in addition to recently described Xiushanosteus, Shenacanthus, and Tujiaaspis, continue to be uncovered from the early Silurian fossil beds. Every day with exciting findings.

Finally some science! First what about the complete jawed fishes from Llandovery? Meet Xiushanosteus (秀山鱼), pls dont confuse it with Xiushuiaspis (修水鱼) which is a galeaspid. It is the most abundant taxa in the fauna so probably live in shoals. https://t.co/b3lZuxWDIq
