【周末】Dear Pastor H,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord.
My name is JOHN S, a Christian from Hong Kong who recently arrived in Canada through the "Stream B" pathway. I have been following your teachings on the "Reconstruction of Christianity" with great interest. Your call for the church to stop retreating into a "soup-like" theology and instead stand as a witness in the public square has been a light for me as I navigate my new home.
I am writing to you today because I find myself at a crossroads between policy and faith. While Canada has provided us with a "Lifeboat" (the Stream B lifeboat scheme) to escape the storms in Hong Kong, I believe what we truly need is to build an "Ark" (生命之舟)—a vessel not just for physical survival, but for the preservation of Truth and the reconstruction of a faithful life in this new land.
However, I am deeply troubled by the upcoming vote on Bill C-9 (the Combatting Hate Act) this Monday, April 13. As you are likely aware, the removal of the religious exemption in Section 319(3)(b) threatens to turn the citation of our Holy Scriptures into a criminal offense. Given your stance on the church’s duty to speak the Truth even when it is "politically incorrect," I would value your perspective on two points:
1.On Church Bravery: Why do you think most churches—even here in Canada—are so afraid to speak out? Whether it is Bill C-9 or the growing pressure of LGBTQ+ ideology, many leaders seem to choose silence over the Word of God. Do you believe this is a sign of a deeper spiritual failure in the "mainstream" church?
2.On TWR "Seminary on the Air": I have been looking into the "Seminary on the Air" (空中神學院) courses offered by TWR Canada. As someone who advocates for a radical reconstruction of faith, do you think these online theological courses are actually good for building a strong, biblical faith? Or are they just more of the same "traditional" teaching that lacks the power to change our current situation?
I know you are a man of direct words, and I seek your honest, unfiltered guidance. As a newcomer, I do not want to merely "survive" in a lifeboat; I want to participate in the spiritual rebuilding of the kingdom here.
Thank you for your time and your service to the Word.
In Faith,
JOHN S

我将在下个主日证道中进一步为“重建”提供一个基本框架。
【Greetings and Thanks from a Chilean suscriber】
Dear Pastor Ren
My name is Mauricio Celis, I'm a chilean citizen who subscribed to the CSMP channel on YouTube. As a Latin American, I used to be part of the mainstream churches for a long time, but after watching your videos, my point of view about Christianity totally changed.
I have always felt that those mainstream churches were totally wrong, focusing mainly on marriage, peace, family, and "loving our enemies" as you always mention in your videos. Even some pastors literally used to say "I talked to God last night" and the other people were asking themselves how the pastor was able to talk to God and why they weren't. I also remember another pastor who said "I will go to heaven and I want to take you all with me". Others were praying and suddenly started speaking in a different language in a kind of trance, and everyone wanted to pray the same way as they do, because otherwise, if they were not able to pray that way, it meant that God was not in their hearts. These are just some examples of how wrong they were, they are, and they will keep being. I'm pretty sure you know how it is.
I exactly remember the reason why I decided to leave the mainstream churches, it was because of the Opening Ceremony at the Olympics Games in Paris, where they laugh at the Christians, because we (I mean, the mainstream ones) are "too good" (or too coward) and the community preferred to keep silence at what happened in that ceremony, or simply "forgiving them" instead of replying that attack to our God. I remember I told them that we should read the Bible more and use it as a weapon to confront our enemies, because those people in the ceremony (woke/left-winged people) were our enemies, but they didn't really care about it. They listened to me and then kept reviewing the studying material focused on self-love. but for me it was something serious. I'm pretty sure if they laughed at the Muslims, the Eiffel Tower would be under fire that very night.
Although Chinese is not my native language (nor English), I have to wait about 2-3 days to watch your videos with subtitles in Spanish, videos that I always enjoying watching because as far as I know and have seen and heard, you are the real church that really has a huge vision about the Bible as a living book, doing the respective comparisons with the reality nowadays. As well as mainly considering the Old Testament as important as the New Testament. I remember when you said in one of your videos: "Everything God has spoken is called Bible", I loved that quote.
I write this email because nowadays everyone is talking about the problem in Europe with the immigration and how it is destroying the countries little by little, (Spain, UK, Italy, France, Germany, etc) as well as Canada in North America, and I found in 2 Kings -41 an answer. (or a way to understand it well) It explains how the King of Assyria sent some people to the city of Samaria (immigrants) who never learned to live under the rules of the Israelites, and not only that, but also bringing their Gods to that city not following the real LORD. It even says it has been this way up to now.
It is interesting because, the LORD (耶和华) already advised that, if they (Israelities) worship other gods, the LORD will give everyone to their enemies on their hand. It could explain how everything is actually happening due to the mainstream christians, who are totally cowardly not fighting against the enemies but letting them enter their lands to destroy everything in front of their own eyes. I would love to read your comments, maybe I could be wrong, that's why I prefered to send you this letter, in order to understand it well.
Finally, I would like to tell you that I know there are many people who criticize you for speaking about politics and about China. I know most of the people who watch your videos are Chinese, but there are also some foreigners like me who will give you our support. Nobody talks about politics as you do, and this is great, because the rest of the churches are too busy in finding the way to keep people in the position of Jonah, avoiding going to Nineveh, instead of getting people motivated to rebuild the Christianity.
My apologies if the mail is too long, but I wanted to share this with you.
Best regards!
Mauricio Celis
1/ I don’t often speak in my professional capacity as a Hong Kong–born, UK-chartered construction professional (MRICS, MAPM, NECReg, among others). But I need to address inaccurate reporting about bamboo scaffolding in the Hong Kong Tai Po fire.
