ICYMI: The Jinja Corporate League was thrilled to welcome a special guest, the reigning Miss Uganda, @MuhozaElle, who joined us for our 4th outing last Sunday as part of her regional tour leading up to the grand selection of Miss Uganda 2026/2027.

She fully immersed herself in the corporate sportsmanship spirit by jumping onto the court for an exciting game of netball, connecting on a personal level with players and fans on the ground, and sharing vibrant photo moments with the crowd. [1/2]

Jinja War Cemetery is one of many Commonwealth War Graves around the world. During the Second World War, Jinja was the Uganda centre for the _King's African Rifles.

JINJA WAR CEMETERY contains one burial of the First World War and 179 burials and commemorations of the Second World War. Two of the burials are unidentified and one soldier is commemorated by a special memorial. The cemetery also contains four post war service graves.

Within the cemetery stands the JINJA MEMORIAL, which commemorates 127 men of the East African Forces who died during the Second World War but whose graves were so situated that maintenance for all time could not be assured.

THREAD: Earlier today, we proudly witnessed the official launch of the 2026 Uganda Rugby 7s Series that was held at Jinja Golf Course in @jinjacity with a refreshing backdrop of the River Nile.

Featuring 12 core men's teams and 8 core Women's teams that will compete across six(6) stops across the country, the series carry the theme, "Tukikube every stop," a rallying chant that embodies hardwork, smart hustle, entertainment, and collective achievement at every stop.

The action officially begins tomorrow with the highly anticipated #StoneCity7s hosted by @HipposRugby, bringing completive rugby back under the floodlights, all going down @RuckYardSports.

Despite an early morning threatening downpour, the weather cleared into light, manageable drizzles, allowing the scheduled fixtures to proceed seamlessly.

Day two injected fresh dynamism into the tournament as the highly anticipated schools and corporate categories officially joined the competition, bringing a unique blend of youthful exuberance and professional networking to the courts.

Yesterday, we joined the @QuonnectMarketD in Jinja as they celebrated their first anniversary, and what an incredible experience it was. The celebrations took place @TheVillageUG - Jinja space.

The celebrations brought together local vendors, shoppers, and entrepreneurs to showcase fashion, beauty, food, and crafts, fostering networking and supporting small Ugandan businesses.
