funny post from someone who took her brother to gravity con
the first thing he said after the concert was, "it's mutual".
me: how was it?
him: i get why you come to his concerts
me: wasn't it sick? the beats were insane and did u see him dance?
him: no, what was surprising was the reciprocity
he said he was shocked to see how much junsu loved us and how could you not come when it's like this lmao no wonder he kept laughing during the talks. he said it felt like fans were talking to junsu 1 on 1 and that it felt like the movie 'colony' lol
"nuna, it's insane that when you say something, it's communicated to him."
It's not often Junsu shares details about his process so this was a treat.
๐ฟ๏ธ: This was the first full album made from scratch after I set up my company. There was the mini album 'Dimension' but for a full album, this was the first.
๐ฟ๏ธ: Because my schedule is so busy - I perform all year in musicals. I'm actually supposed to be doing a musical now but I turned it down last year. I do have 'Dracula' waiting right after though. But I wanted to meet the Coconuts across Asia so I had to make time for it.
๐ฟ๏ธ: To make an album, I have to do recordings and.. I actually don't really like listening to music because I had to listen to so much, I went through about 400 songs for this album. My favorites changed depending on the day. What sounded bad before would sound good on other days. When I said, "This song's good" the staff would tell me, "It's the one you hated before" ๐That's how the human heart works lol Tastes and daily moods vary.
๐ฟ๏ธ: The reason I was able to safely release this album is because Palmtree staff egged me on (๐๐) and harassed me (๐๐๐๐)
๐ฟ๏ธ: Scheduling recording sessions was difficult, too. The vocalizations I use for musicals and pop singing are so different that I can't sing pop music that well while I'm doing musicals. I can't.. make that sound come out. So scheduling was tricky. For example, I'd cram in a bunch of 'Death Note' shows and leave about 3 days off. Then I'd record on the last day when my voice recovered a bit. It was especially hoarse during 'Death Note' & 'Beetlejuice' because of the way I sing in those musicals.
the rest is about how palmtree pushed him through & that translation can be found in my other twt lol
as a beetlejunce akgae, i was so happy to see a post like this..
"To start off with my "ipdeok reason," it was 260228 Beetlejunce. I'm not a musical theatre fan and it's been a long time since I've seen a musical but I saw Junchan on MCountdown and got interested (I was surprised to see Xia Junsu on MCD and was moved by the comments). Without even knowing what the musical was about, I thought I'd go check it out. I'm sure there's no one who doesn't know Xia Junsu is good but in person, he was awe-inspiring (the best performance I've seen in my life) and he was just soo.. adorable.. When someone feels adorable, I think that's when it's really over.
I then went to 'Death Note' and have booked 'Dracula' and bought multiple albums but I didn't realize how much I've come to love him before the concert. I considered going just one day but ended up going 2 days and it was the best decision of my life. I came to understand why Coconuts love idol Junsu so much and signed my own life contract as a fan.
First of all, I loved the relationship between Junsu & Coconuts. As a newbie, it felt like being adopted into a really loving family. The way they'd watch other newbies with so much curiosity was cute and funny. It was also great to get a glimpse of Beetlejunce, my ipdeok fairy!
After becoming a fan, all I had seen of Junsu was his musicals so I had no idea how amazing it is to get 3 hours of Junsu the person but this.. this was the real deal.
Every time his face showed on the jumbotron, I burst with pride. It seemed unreal how he could be a 5th gen idol, the king of ballads and this hilarious yapper all at once.
I had studied the fanchants in advance and it was thrilling to do it all together! The new songs were amazing but coming in as a late fan, it was just as fun to finally get to jump to 'Hana,' 'Pit A Pat,' 'Rock the World' and 'Incredible.'
I'm bringing my condensed review because I heard you guys love newbies. I know I'm an incredible latecomer but I have a feeling I'm in for the long haul.
Ok bye!"

junsu actually talked about this today. he gave a special shout out to kspo dome for giving him the venue amidst fierce competition, apparently there are at least 20 teams requesting to book the venue every weekend.
