We are glad to share that Polypaths SE by @IOivm will be shown in the exhibition In the Flux of Us: The Art of Algorithms at the New Taipei City Art Museum, from April 25 to July 4, 2026, alongside works by @chihyu_chen_, @alexis_o_O, Kazuhiro Tanimoto, and @jinyaolin. Thanks to @VolumeDAO for the curation.
When works of art cease to be defined as static arrangements of objects, unfolding instead through a continuous process of flux, is the audience obliged to remain a mere spectator? Indeed, when the audience is no longer just passively viewing the work, but begins to shape its outcome and direction—becoming a form of participation—within this state of flux, might we be able to coexist with the artwork, thereby generating a mutual, collective meaning?
With these questions in mind, NTCAM Screening — In the Flux of Us: The Art of Algorithms, curated by Volume DAO, reimagines the museum's entrance space and LED screen as a site for artistic emergence. By transforming the threshold between arrival and departure, a simple passageway becomes a fertile ground for experimentation, where the meanings of such artworks might begin to reveal themselves. The audience is invited to become one of the triggers in the work’s generation. By using their mobile phones to adjust the parameters of the piece, the work is no longer simply displayed or viewed, but gradually unfolds and takes shape through the process of participation.
This year-long NTCAM Screening program invites five artists: Aluan Wang, Chih-Yu Chen, Aleksandra Jovanić, Kazuhiro Tanimoto, and Lin Jinyao. Through their diverse generative and algorithmic practices, the works encompass simulations of natural phenomena and painterly techniques, generative experiments within digital media, and reflections on the organic relationships between the artificial and the natural.
Here, the artworks are not regarded as static objects, but rather as continuously evolving states; within the operational contours sketched by algorithms, and at the intersection of viewing and participation, they gradually develop through the interplay of time, rules, and randomness. In doing so, moments of poetic resonance are captured, generating a performative space unique to each moment, while at the same time opening new bridges of perception and imagination across different systems, media, and artistic practice.

Spent hours tweaking colors and perfecting gradients for my piece... only to realize that my soul apparently lives in monochrome. 💀
There’s just something about monochrome that hits different. No distractions, just pure form and movement. Back to the basics, do you feel it?
