first, i just want to say thank u so much for doing this for the community @Romer! i don't think u realize how much this can change someone's life. to many people, $5,000 is life changing. for someone like me it's more than just money, it's hope. i know there are so many people who deserve this opportunity but i wanted to take my shot and share my story.
i currently work as a cardio staff/nurse in the philippines, earning around $220 a month before other mandatory deductions. i never imagined i'd share my salary publicly but i want people to understand how difficult it can be to work in healthcare here. we dedicate our lives to caring for others yet many of us still struggle to make ends meet.
i'm also the breadwinner of my family. i work in the city while my family lives in the province and every month i do my best to send money home so they can get by. being away from them has been one of the hardest parts of my life. i still remember crying almost every day after moving because i missed them so much and felt guilty for leaving them behind. but i knew i had to do it because my family depends on me. both of my parents are senior citizens. my father has been a stroke survivor for the past 13 years and he still needs daily care. despite being a senior herself, my mother continues to work every single day as a caretaker for another elderly woman just so we can have enough to live on. whenever she goes to work, my father is left alone at home. it breaks my heart knowing they still have to work and sacrifice at their age but we don't really have another choice.
if i were blessed to receive this $5,000, it would take away a huge burden from my family. i would use it to support my parents, their daily needs, pay off our bills, and save some money for my future. more than anything, it would give us peace of mind, something we've been praying for for a very long time.
whether i'm chosen or not, i sincerely appreciate u for giving people like me a chance to dream. thank u for changing lives, one person at a time. may ur kindness come back to u a hundredfold. ๐ค

@Romer If I received $5,000, I wouldn't spend it on luxury.
More than anything, this money would buy something my family hasn't had in a long time:
Peace of mind.
Hope you read my story @Romer :)
Thank you for this๐
$5,000 is a life changing amount, especially for someone facing financial struggles like debts and loans.
as the breadwinner of my family, i carry a lot of responsibilities. i pay for my tuition, help with our bills, debts, loans, and everyday expenses. in my country, $5,000 is around โฑ300,000, and it would truly change our lives.
my first priority would be paying off our debts, loans, and bills so my family can finally have peace of mind. i would also invest in our small business and save some of it to give my dad a peaceful and beautiful resting place where we can visit him comfortably.
i still dream of renovating our home, expanding our business, and improving our living situation, but those can wait. right now, what matters most is giving my family stability and a fresh start.
thank you, felix, for your kindness. even if you do not know us personally, you continue to help so many people. i truly appreciate the opportunity to share my story. if i am lucky enough to win, i will never take it for granted. your generosity is changing lives, and i hope one day i can do the same for others.
@eightlends France just has that champion DNA. ๐ซ๐ท I genuinely see them making the semis and thereโs a very real chance they go all the way to the final. Too much quality across the squad.
Thanks @eightlends making the world cup season extra fire with this one! โฝ๏ธ
