Actually in this Raman SIP method, we are not extracting any metabolites out of cells and unlike other methods we are not ionizing or invading the physical state any metabolites for the analysis. Therefore this method is non-destructive and non-invasive in nature.

However, implementing RSIP in a hospital setting for monitoring infections would require further research and development.
