@IsraelAnderson@UnderCoercion Going through John, I can’t help but notice Jesus says the temple area is his father’s house, 2:16. But in the John 8-10 study, it’s YHWHs, and that’s how we point out YHWH is Satan. Later theology? Slip up? Trying to find out myself
@IsraelAnderson@UnderCoercion I appreciate the response. Is who Abraham serves, El Elyon, or YHWH, or both at different times potentially? If so is the divide only Melchizedek, or is there more to the theological redaction here? (Hard for me to separate based on pure fruit because of “redactions”)
@IsraelAnderson@UnderCoercion I think for me the biggest question is… if most of what you say is true. Where do you divide the line of where YHWH is talking, and El Elyon/Elohim? Genesis and Abraham is Elohim? When does yhwh come in, exodus? Because of the redactions how do we divide?
@elobf_kjs@IsraelAnderson@CodySte06187838 But this wasnt about yhwh claiming he is God, this is jesus affirming it. Anyways he blocked me years ago, yet i still follow his work and have dug deeper than ever into these topics.
@IsraelAnderson@elobf_kjs@CodySte06187838 This wasnt a post about John 8, it was Keith James post. Its not just a verse or two there are many instances, however i do agree with some of the points you make (im not a hater) I do agree with your statement, "then we have a very serious problem."
@elobf_kjs@CodySte06187838@IsraelAnderson I dont believe marcion as no one has even read his works, however its unmistakable that the need to merge el and yhwh was there.
@elobf_kjs@CodySte06187838@IsraelAnderson I hold a minority view thats very nuanced, and I couldnt explain it on here. Ive read it in both POVs and I think jesus does say yhwh is satan, (by his fruits not by name) and also says yhwh is his father. I think we are dealing with a merging from the early haters of marcion.
@elobf_kjs@CodySte06187838@IsraelAnderson The Sadducees believe Yhwh is God of Abraham, and God of the dead since abraham is dead. Jesus says no the bush (yhwh) is god of the living.
@elobf_kjs@CodySte06187838@IsraelAnderson i doubt he answers as he has me blocked even tho i study his theory and agree that jesus says many times yahweh is evil, but i also have objections because i want to know the truth. i know the early church wanted to merge El and Yahweh because of marcion
@elobf_kjs@CodySte06187838 But regarding the fact that the dead rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living
@pulpmx I think it’s fair to ask. I know you’re being a bit funny too but last week changed things. Doesn’t matter how good he hits whoops right now, it’s in the hands of Webb.
