For BELIFT to break apart the foundation and identity of a group that’s been growing successfully as 7 members for 5 years JUST so one of them can pursue a solo career as if it wasn’t proven they could do both is extremely reckless and unexpected and it draws so many questions.
Some possibilities we have to acknowledge:

-Maybe, just maybe, it’s Heeseung himself who did not want to continue. But according to what he said about taking “the decision to follow what the company suggested”, this seems unlikely to me

-He was served an ultimatum: either solo career or group.
This correlates with him saying how “greedy” it would be and how he “didn’t want to put his ambitions above the group”

the way heeseung expressed himself in his post/letter makes it seem more like he was pressured to leave the group. i really don't feel like he wants to leave enhypen because he literally gave no indication of it. in fact, he emphasized how much he wanted to be in the group...?

So from my understanding;

1) He wanted to pursue solo work but the company suggested he goes full solo and quits the group

2)He wanted to pursue solo work but didn’t want to put his ambitions above the group

I just have one question: why couldn’t he pursue his solo career and still remain in the group as many idols have done before? @BELIFTLAB ?

[NOTICE] ENHYPEN's Future Activities

Hello, this is BELIFT LAB.

We would like to express our gratitude toward ENGENE for their unwavering support for ENHYPEN and provide information on ENHYPEN's future activities.

BELIFT LAB has given much thought and consideration into ENHYPEN's future direction and goals. Through in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team, it became clear that HEESEUNG has his own distinct musical vision and we have decided to respect it.

As such, HEESEUNG will be parting ways with ENHYPEN, and ENHYPEN will continue official activities henceforth as a group of six members.

It’s difficult to relay the whole process through a short notice, but this decision comes after extensive deliberation. We understand that this news is a lot to process and may be received with mixed reactions. Nevertheless, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of ENHYPEN and HEESEUNG.

ENHYPEN remains committed to sharing energetic performances with ENGENE. HEESEUNG will be preparing a solo album as an artist under BELIFT LAB.

We ask for ENGENE's continued love and support for ENHYPEN and HEESEUNG as they start a new chapter of their journey.
