Is it fair to call Maharaja Ranjit Singh Raj as Sarkar-e-Khalsa?

The Dogra Kingdom was ruled by Dogra Hindus, yet no one calls it the “Hindu Raj of the Dogras.”

However, the rule over a few mohallas of Delhi is often described as “Muslim rule,” and Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s reign is called the “Sarkar-e-Khalsa.” In reality, Sikhs were less than 10 percent of the population, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh was supported by people from different communities, predominantly Dogra Hindus.

The day the Dogras chose to withdraw their support, the so-called Sarkar-e-Khalsa collapsed.

Some people need to come to terms with real history rather than propaganda. Without Hindu support, the Lahore Darbar would not have thrived.

Calling it the “Sarkar-e-Khalsa” discredits the immense contribution and support of the three Dogra brothers Maharaja Gulab Singh, Raja Dhyan Singh, and Raja Suchet Singh as well as Hira Singh Dogra, General Zorawar Singh, and millions of other Hindu soldiers and the Dogra Kingdom.

What SIR documentation stressed you out? No documents are required during the initial door-to-door enumeration or verification phase. You only need to return the pre-printed Enumeration Form and details from the 2002 electoral roll (for self or parents/grandparents) to your Booth Level Officer.

If your details cannot be matched with the 2002 records and you are asked to provide supporting documents for verification, you can submit ONE of the following self-attested documents:
•Birth Certificate issued by a competent authority
•Passport
•Matriculation or Educational Certificate issued by a recognized board or university
•Government or PSU ID / Pension Payment Order issued to regular employees or pensioners
•Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) or State Authority-issued domicile proof
