Terrorism in Punjab escalated during Congress rule.
It was ultimately defeated during Congress rule.
The Khalistani movement emerged from separatist politics, political miscalculations by Congress, and sustained support from Pakistan, not because of Hindus.
Who is protesting today - pro-Congress and Congress.
Nearly two-thirds of the historic Punjab now lies in Pakistan. Yet Khalistani terrorists targeted Hindus in Indian Punjab.
Pakistan has long supported Khalistani networks. Yet the hatred by common people is directed at Hindus.
Christian missionaries have actively sought conversions in parts of Punjab. Yet Khalistani propaganda focuses its hostility towards Hindus not caring that Sikhs are being targeted by the missionaries not Hindus.
Many of the police officers who fought and died defeating Khalistani terrorism were Sikhs.
The Sikh Gurus sacrificed their lives to protect Dharma and defend Hindus from persecution.
Hindus continue to revere the Sikh Gurus as among the greatest protectors of India’s civilizational heritage.
Yet it is Hindus who are portrayed as the enemy.
The Kartarpur Corridor to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birthplace in Pakistan was opened during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure.
Yet anti-Hindu sentiment is there for supporting him.
Pakistan pumps drugs, weapons, and propaganda into Punjab.
Yet the anger is often directed at Hindus and they become the target of hostility.

So why does this hatred towards Hindus persist in parts of Punjab?

I am yet to find an answer.
