It is with great sadness that we’ve learnt of the passing Prof Ephraim Wadonda Chirwa of the University of Malawi. Prof Chirwa was a committed scholar in the advancement of agrarian change in Africa. He leaves a great intellectual vacuum in African scholarship and will be missed.

Update on Mexican CCT Prospera: Many Prospera beneficiaries have stopped receiving their payments and/or will have to reapply to receive the new Becas Benito Juarez (with unclear eligibility criteria). Uncertainty and reduced income for 6 million+ families in extreme poverty.
