@TankieSlappa@andrii_sybiha This was the best comment on this thread. People seem to have forgotten that Russia has invaded Ukraine, that they are not only bombing military targets, but residential areas, civil people, schools and hospitals. Putin is wanted for war crimes. Why on earth should Ukraine not at
@bluemortal001 @Matthewtravis08 @elonmusk That’s one person pardoned. What about the more than 1,200 people that stormed the White House, threating the democracy, all pardoned!?!?!?
Is that America???
@SilverFoxLife@TheTNHoller Sorry, what!?!? The democracy in your country is at risk. Do you realise that unless you’re a native Indian, you’re all immigrants. GO HOME!!!
@CrockdadCO@xhorsechestnutx@BulwarkOnline Yes, they were defeated. The same way Putin has to be defeated. There will be no truce, there will be no peace in Ukraine until Putin is defeated. And I can assure you that a lot of Russians would see that as a victory and liberation from a dictator like Adolf in Germany
@JaredMichaels17@acnewsitics You don’t need help to make anything look bad; tariffs, economy, interest levels, inflation, foreign affairs like the two wars in Gaza and Ukraine you promised to stop
EXCLUSIVE: We dug up a video of Donald Trump trashing Qatar in 2017 calling them “funders of terrorism.” I’m sure he would hate if this clip changed their mind to give him a $400 million plane - so definitely don’t repost it.
BREAKING: MAGA world melts down as Hollywood legend Robert De Niro kicks off the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France with a fiery takedown of "philistine president" Donald Trump.
This is the beloved actor's most brutal attack to date...
"In my country, we’re fighting like hell for the democracy we once took for granted. And that affects all of us here because the arts are democratic,” De Niro said during the festival's opening night. He was there to accept an honorary Palme d’Or award, which was presented by Leonardo DiCaprio.
“Art is inclusive. It brings people together, like tonight. Art looks for truth, art embraces diversity and that’s why art is a threat — that’s why we are a threat — to autocrats and fascists," De Niro continued.
He then ripped into Trump's widely mocked proposal for a 100% tariff on all films produced outside of the United States, an absurd suggestion since movies are considered services rather than physical products. They aren't shipped into ports on massive ships.
"Let that sink in for a minute. You can’t put a price on creativity, but apparently you can put a tariff on it," said De Niro.
"Of course, this is unacceptable. All these attacks are unacceptable, and this isn’t just an American problem. It’s a global one," he went on. "And like a film, we can’t just all sit back and watch. We have to act now. Without violence, but with great passion and determination."
"It’s time for everyone who cares about liberty to organize, to protest, and when there are elections, of course to vote," he said. "Tonight, and for the next eleven days, we show our strength and commitment by celebrating art in this glorious festival.”
During his remarks to introduce De Niro, DiCaprio praised him not only as an actor, but as a powerful voice for what's right.
“That’s the thing about Bob: he doesn’t say much, but when he does, it matters. Whether it’s for his friends, his family, fighting for democracy or supporting the art of filmmaking — he shows up," said DiCaprio.
The best part about De Niro's outspoken criticisms of Trump is that we know how deeply they bother the so-called president. Trump has always wanted acceptance from Hollywood. He loves the glitz and glamour and resents that they despise him.
This one is sure to send him over the edge. Expect a deranged Truth Social outburst soon...
Please retweet and ❤️ to thank De Niro for boldly speaking out — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. @uptanoia That’s very offensive and a serious accusation to make. I agree that there might be Hamilton supporters that are more into his brand than into the sport, but that’s probably true for some of the Leclerc fans as well
@HeathrowAirport all systems seem to be down at T5. No trains, had to walk from B-gates, all automatic passport controls are down, everything manual. What’s happening, what’s the problem?
