@cupula7110@jpgechele Y además dice q la gente no “arregló sus papeles a tiempo” obviando los retrasos de años q tiene el sistema migratorio de USA..han deportado gente con casos hasta con 20 años de espera..falla del sistema!
@reesetheone1 The passivity of the Democratic Party, combined with the boundless corruption of the Republican Party, led to the political atomization of the USA—a process already underway with the emergence of MAGA and the DSA as the new key players in the exercise of power.
I’ve been trying to tell you that this was coming.
Nothing that happens in politics is going to stop it either.
Earnestness, hope, sincerity…
Our culture is so ready for stories that celebrate this.
@KerryCoppoYon9@aerocamburita@marujatarre Exacto, q baja autoestima e ignorancia pensando que “los gringos” son una raza superior que hay q “ganarse” el derecho a convivir con ellos🤦🏻
AOC: "On this point of tax on tips, as one of the only people in this body who has lived off of tips, I want to tell you a little bit about the scam ... the cap on that is $25,000 while you're jacking up taxes on people who make less than $50,000 across the US ... while kicking them off the ACA."
Casar: What’s just so sick about it is these right-wing politicians—they eat food cooked by immigrants, they get their fancy cars cleaned by immigrants, they do their corrupt deals in buildings engineered, built, and maintained by immigrants—then they have the gall to turn around and say immigrants are the problem. Guess what? An asylum seeker didn’t raise your rent—a hedge fund did.
Thirteen years ago, my administration acted to protect young people who were American in every single way but one: on paper.
DACA was an example of how we can be a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws. And it’s an example worth remembering today, when families with similar backgrounds who just want to live, work, and support their communities, are being demonized and treated as enemies.
We can fix our broken immigration system while still recognizing our common humanity and treating each other with dignity and respect. In fact, it’s the only way we ever will.
When Donald Trump sought blanket authority to commandeer the National Guard, he made that order apply to every state in this nation.
Democracy is under assault right before our eyes - the moment we’ve feared has arrived.
The rule of law has increasingly given way to the rule of Don.
The founding fathers did not live and die to see this moment.
It’s time for all of us to stand up.
Donald Trump, without consulting with California’s law enforcement leaders, commandeered 2,000 of our state’s National Guard members to deploy on our streets.
Illegally, and for no reason.
This brazen abuse of power by a sitting President inflamed a combustible situation putting our people, our officers, and the National Guard at risk.
Pete sent 4,700 troops here (when they weren’t needed) without adequate fuel, food, water or a place to sleep.
But don’t worry, he’s at a baseball game.
If that’s what they do to a United States Senator with a question, imagine what they do to farm workers, day laborers, cooks, and the other nonviolent immigrants they are targeting in California and across the country. Or any American that dares to speak up.
I will not stop fighting to demand accountability on behalf of the people of California.
The Ranch Fire in San Bernardino is 4,000 acres and growing.
Meanwhile, 5 of California’s 14 National Guard fire crews are understaffed… because Trump deployed them for a political stunt in LA.
This isn’t just illegal. It’s dangerous.
