@BootySweat123@S1apSh0es Chose it deliberately as far as I know so we could try and quickly acclimate the players to running around in an outdoor bathhouse
@uncreativetom If the border was less of an issue it always felt like the dream was to have something like the HS1 javelins do locals to like Calais or Lille or summit but that's not the world that's transpired yet.
@mealdealtruther I've always known them as big bins or 'biffa bins' like, a dumpster to me is one of those ginormous skips with the ladders on the side
"Niles, we're lost. That's the fourth time we've passed by the pile of frankly rather tasteless sheraton armchairs."
"Yes, the style clashes with the yellow wallpaper and endless billowing void. Then again, feng shui might fail to accommodate an open floor plan this... er, OPEN"
@jaketropolis@ZhenDeRen Just leave it for a while until the trees grow and the blocks have been in situ for long enough to get a decent mix of tenure types in the individual flats
@hamstake_@asimonreynolds@anon_opin The US is really good to drive a long distance in like, the roads are just built for it, the UK has smaller, windier roads(even the motorways) so much, much more active amount of time you actually spend 'driving'
@north0fnorth Found it very enlightening speaking to these types in the past as most of them don't realise there was a 93 prequel attempt to bring down the towers, like, people knew about this.
@scrimshackle@postoctobrist As far as I know if you read the full quote it's a bloke saying things out of both sides of his mouth and so it comes down to 'I am spineless on this issue'
@lmartods@DeptfordWife1 Swear down a load of perceptions about the tube being dingy would disappear if they just let TfL order the new tubes for all the lines (I have just come off the bakerloo)
@breadandposes Council house I live in with open fireplaces, if you run them in winter the inside just gets bone dry with the amount of air they cycle and dry through the place, the 'updated' ones on same road with central heating and closed flues end up with all sorts of weird damp problems.
@bierkonceagain Tbh it wouldn't surprise me, they refresh the fleets pretty often and these look tired, you'd swear the coverage of this story is just designed to wind people up though.
