@Don_K_Williams Back in the day, tournaments were for fun and to give the kids a different experience. We would typically do two per year locally and every other year would maybe throw in an out of town one. But our main focus was league competition.

@crazyclipsonly Been there, done that when I was 9 working at my Dad's gas station. Can't tell you the number of times he warned me not to other than many. I was luckier than this guy; probs because I was so short most of it went over me.

@MenInBlazers This is not new. I was at an Ajax v PSV Eindhoven match in 2005 or 2006. No flares or abandoned match but riot police in full gear as the game let out so they could separate the fans going to the train platform. And my seat next to 1" thick plexiglass topped with metal spikes.
