If you judge a fish on it's ability to climb a tree, the fish will always be a failure. This isn't fair.
What also isn't fair is picking the fish out of the water and placing it at the top of the tree. For a while, the fish may look like it has achieved the impossible. But when questions are asked how it got there, it becomes awkward. Eventually the fish dies and the one responsible is the one who placed it there, not the ones who asked how it got up there in the first place.

On talent alone, Romero would go for far more than Van Hecke or Vuskovic but his baggage detracts from his value. Availability and attitude both knock 10mil off of his value. But more importantly, he couldn't be Captain this season, even if he did stay. And to move him on before the season starts is far more valuable that an extra 15mil that we could get by haggling.

The likely outcome would be a drop in Reform support from the wider public for allowing Restore to not only dictate policy but also dictating who Farage can put in a potential cabinet. Seeing a lot of left leaning people celebrating Ann Widdecombe's death is not surprising but it makes me wonder where we went wrong. Regardless of your political persuasion, the murder of anyone should not be a cause for joy. Every political point should have opposition. Those, whose politics you disagree with, are not your enemy, they are a necessity. RIP Ann Widdecombe

I say that people that abuse the system should be stopped. If you don't need a blue badge, don't have one. But don't take away blue badges from those who might need it because others game the system. In the same way, I wouldn't remove parent/child places because that would punish responsible users like you not the ones who abuse it when their children are not in the car

You might have a comorbidity than reduces mobility. You might have reduced awareness of dangers in and around the car park. The thing with blue badges, like motorbility and PIP, is you don't get them because of the condition, you get them because of the disabling effects of the condition. A man breaks his neck and becomes paralysed. He doesn't get benefits because of his neck, he gets it because of the symptom of paralysis. Another man breaks his neck but walks out of hospital, he gets nothing. Each case should be taken on its own merit, not stigmatising a condition. And if people are using it as an excuse and it's unwarranted, that needs to be changed

@annalesueur @_lliesl_ @EssexPR ADD was first included in the DSM in 1980. The term ADHD came approximately 8 years later. The first reported cases were documented by physicians over 100 years ago. What you see as a fad is just increased understanding.

ADHD is associated with a shorter life span, higher rate of suicide, higher rates of divorce, higher rates of criminality, higher chance of poor physical health, unemployment, lack of education. Might be people out there pretending to have it to see what they can get but for most people with it, it more a life sentence than a golden ticket
