This is a mess. So many athletes have enrolled and been rostered as a result of the Wisne v. NCAA injunction in Colorado. The appellate court granting a stay now pushes all of those athletes to email, text, DM, and call, begging for emergency action in state courts. Yes, it's a lot of work for us lawyers who work with athletes, and it's going to be loads of billable hours for NCAA counsel. Set aside the economics. There is a real mental, emotional, and educational cost. Does the NCAA even care about the well-being of the "student-athlete"? I truly don't believe so.

I sat down with DAZN SVP of Business Development, Zander Berlinski to get the key details on the new service.

Tennessee’s AD continues to be a voice of reason in college athletics.
His comments about intellectual dishonesty with respect to athlete compensation are spot on.

Ken Griffey Jr. says flying private was too expensive, so he bought his own plane and learned how to fly
“You look at all the companies and they charge X, Y, and Z. I did that a couple times and I started looking at the pricing of all these things. I’m like, ‘I might as well just buy one.’ Cirrus has been great to me. This is plane number seven. I started flying in '05”
“So I go, ‘I’m going to learn how to fly.’ They got an air show at the airport, and I go start looking around. I get to this plane. I’m like, ‘Cirrus ain’t got no rivets. Carbon fiber. That’s more me with the cars that I drive’”
“Most people they solo after seven hours. Because it’s me, I didn’t solo till I had almost 100 hours. I had to buy the plane that I flew in. So it wasn’t like I had to learn in somebody else’s plane, the school plane. I bought the plane because I don’t want anybody’s butt in that seat except me. The person sitting next to me teaching me how to fly, he on this side. Ain’t nobody on this side but me. So I learned to fly”
@heitner You mean to tell me that college sports and their conference big wigs, especially the SEC and Big Ten kneel to our nation’s president?! I’d love to know how we fight against this dangerous precedent, Darren.
@NBA_NewYork Agree to disagree? Because if it is the same 8-10 teams qualifying every time for the big game, is that really parity, is my question 🙋

Adam Silver "It's not unintended consequence…every GM's going to need to make mixed basketball & business decisions…people manage to budgets…any business…The purpose of the system is to create competition & from that standpoint it's working incredibly well…8 different champions last 8 years…We just saw a Finals between the largest market & one of the smallest…In terms of collective bargaining…it's players' right to bring up any issues they want…every CBA is the result of a series of compromises & that's what this one is"
Jax, talks about career success and deflating changes! IMO, the Knicks can’t let this happen to any of their starting 5… until they retire 😁 #knicks2026champs
