😃Have you seen all the amazing new slide templates from @SlidesManiaSM? There are choice boards, lots of different planners, & certificates. Awesome for remote learning but great to use when we physically return to school too. https://t.co/wnbZ9nLcDZ #GoogleSlides#PowerPoint
It’s been an inspiring day examining our students’ Continuum of Numeracy with Dr. Alex Lawson and Kate Cooper. How can math games reinforce math strategies and support student thinking? What does a child’s thinking tell me about what he/she understands?
I’ve worked with alternative algorithms quite a bit but have never considered using the transitional algorithm to bridge students to the North American standard. Thanks again Alex and Kate! #alwayslearning @TDSBmath411 @LC1_TDSB
My favourite day is a day when educators get excited about math for young children and experience ‘a-ha moments’. Alex Lawson is making this possible for us today. @TDSBmath411 @LC1_TDSB

Teachers: We're interested in piloting a program that would bring CBC Kids News to your classroom, via Google Hangouts. Please reply if that's something you would be interested in, and can accommodate technology-wise. #edchat#edtech#teachers
I just spend the last two days writing my report cards WITH my students.
I asked them about their strengths.
I asked them to share a future learning goal.
We looked at their body of work and we selected a grade. Together.
Why haven't I been doing this my entire career?
👉 There are lots of ways great to organize your assignments in #GoogleClassroom but I use the topics to organize assignments by the week. I then include emoticons to add visual cues for my students. 🎲📚 🎬 🎨 📌 #GoogleEDU
Listening to @marian_small on the topic of encouraging critical thinking during Math Consolidation. "We do not want to hear a chorus, we want to hear divergence." How can I ask better questions to honour Ss thinking and bring out the essential understanding? @teacher_ames
