@RosserJobs Petrochemical and Power focused engineering, construction, commissioning, project development. Direct and project based contractors US and Middle East.
@RosserJobs I will let you know. I didn’t give away my fee either but they wanted a flat number for budgeting. Getting some up money up front and an exclusive search was nice change.
Just had a client ask if I would be open to a flat fee instead of a percentage payment.
Was reminded of the tweets I have seen from @RosserJobs about his new flat fee model.
Went with the 10k to begin the search and the rest at start.
Might try that more in the future.
The biggest losers in @IndianaFootball canceling football series are all the Hoosier & ND fans - would be a football frenzy if Hoosiers didn’t cancel playing . Hoosiers pre conference games r CUPCAKE CITY - to be the best beat the best .

Recruiter: Phone buzzes.
"This can't be good..."
Contractor: "I know for a fact the new contractor is making more money than I am. What are you going to do about it?"
Recruiter: This can't be good.....this can wait until morning."
We are headed to Drake University for the AAU Track Junior Olympics.

Recruiter: "Can you complete the drug screening tomorrow?"
Candidate: "Sure."
Two days later...
Candidate: "Can we push it back a couple of days?"
Recruiter's Lesson: Delays usually create more questions than answers.
Recruiter: What is your hiring process for a candidate?
Prospective Client: HR screens the CV then does a phone screen, then the hiring manager does a phone screen, then we have a teams call, then an HR assessment, interview with the owner and then we all meet to discuss before making an offer.
Recruiter: umh, that is a lot of hoops to jump through for a candidate….thinking about the rabbit cage at home.
Great talent doesn’t require this level of indecision.
Every morning, I walk out to my garden to make sure my two butternut squash are still growing.
Every evening, I come home, see the vines wilted from the Oklahoma heat, and have a brief moment of panic.
Then by the next morning...
They're standing tall again.
Recruiting can feel the same way.
One day, the candidate ghosts you.
The next day, a client puts a search on hold.
The day after that, an offer gets accepted.
Recruiter: "Don't accept a counteroffer."
Candidate: "I never would."
Employer: "What if we give you more money?"
Candidate: forgets every reason they wanted to leave.
Counteroffers don't solve the reason you started looking—they simply delay the decision.
Have you ever seen a counteroffer actually solve the real reason someone wanted to leave?
