@GshDarnRobin Also remember engineer is just a fancy title for problem solver. I guarantee you solve problems and find novel ways to tackle old challenges every day. So you are an engineer. Your medium, and unfortunately, pay scale are just different.
@GshDarnRobin I feel that way every day. The way I think about it is: Do I want to be thought of as my job? The answer to that question is ultra depressing. So I do my best to be a good person who happens to do my job well.
@GshDarnRobin The thing I learned about engineering from not finishing school and 20 years of engineering work experience is that I am adept at engineering, but I sure do hate doing the work of a modern engineer.
@GshDarnRobin Yes. And 28-41. Probably, 42 onward too. My dad, who had a 40 year career as a firefighter and paramedic, still laments not finishing engineering school. I think maybe we just let wishful thinking get the better of us.
WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE QUITTING REMEMBER YOU WILL BECOME A PIECE OF GARBAGE JABRONI NO GOOD MOTHERFUCKER THAT I WILL BEAT THE FUCK OUT OF MAKE YOU CRY LIKE LITTLE BABY. #TuesdayMotivation
@Ishfery @bu11inchinashop I am all for calling this shot out, but this was a joke between them. The end of the interview was her saying "Get outta here, Shorty." and him hopping off the bucket.
