🧵 What is a Bitcoin node, really?
People say “run your own node” like it’s obvious.
But what even is a node? And why should you care?
Let’s make it simple. 👇
Got to spend the day with a brilliant grade 8 student from @MNSStars beginning to design an AI controlled robotic hand with some inspiration from the @UNB_IBME prosthetic hand. @brilliant_labs@ASD_South
Big congrats to the students at @NackawicS for successfully putting together their new XCarve from @Inventables ! They were so excited and proud to make their first design for their principal Mr. Jones. @brilliant_labs
@ifoggs you’ve got some fantastic students! Working until nearly 10PM soldering, coding, troubleshooting and learning electronics with such dedication! So much learning outside the classroom. @brilliant_labs @AnglophoneEast
@jmrlingley@MrHennigar@shirky17@afmcdnL@Mrdmolnar@sarah_sarahryan @webber_bl @AVRCE_NS That’s about it. Looked at different mecanno set configurations and then modeled them up in Fusion 360. It took many iterations of materials, thickness, screw hole size and part width to come up with what we felt was the best compromise of using a 1/4” maple plywood for strength
@CeMoCreates@TinkeringStudio Love it! It would be very interesting to pair this idea with other instruments and have “hot swappable” cams for creating different types of music. So cool!
@WilfWonders @TechMeldRobie @KbitKendra@PEDUARD If you want to use the LED display still I would do something like this below. That way you aren't always calling the clear screen. It should work for you
@WilfWonders@microbit_edu@GreatSciShare The micro:bit actually uses the LED display as a sensor, so you need to remove the show LED and clear screen. You'll need a higher integer value (50,100 etc) and not a decimal. Try playing a song if the light is below the level and nothing if above. Let me know how you make out!
