This is a message to the people of the world & most especially the leaders of the world, a visual reminder of the source of the conflicts I see in the world today & those I see coming tomorrow.
The source that undermines democracies, the EU, the UN, the USA & seeks to create division globally whilst trampling on the rules of international law.
An abomination that would drag us all back to the time of blood & tears that our grandfathers & grandmothers endured, this is the face that cannot stop until it is stopped.
You have this one golden opportunity to do just that by giving the people of Ukraine everything that they need to drive the aggressor from their lands & in the process save thousands of lives.
Alternatively you can continue to prevaricate, procrastinate & deliberate as this malignant cancer spreads its influence around the world at the expense of millions of lives.
Whilst I may be just one small voice amid the noise of billions I hope that you hear me very loud & very clear, inactivity & appeasement are not options when you are faced with hate.
Do not repeat the mistakes of the last century, make the correct decision & do it today, not tomorrow.

🇺🇸 Дональд Трамп вчера вновь выдал порцию вранья на тему энергетики. Выступая на мероприятии в поддержку угольной отрасли, он расхваливал "прекрасный и чистый уголь" как незаменимый источник энергии и заявил, что Китай якобы строит почти исключительно угольные электростанции, а ветряков возвёл "примерно два". По версии Трампа, китайцы производят ветровые турбины только для того, чтобы продавать их "лохам" в США и Европе, а сами ими не пользуются.

На самом деле в 2025 году на долю Китая пришлось около 73% всех новых ветровых мощностей, введённых в мире, — 120,5 ГВт по данным GWEC. Новых угольных мощностей было введено около 78 ГВт, что тоже является чрезвычайно высоким показателем. В Китае мало заботятся об экологии, несмотря на то, что добыча и сжигание угля остается одним из крупнейших источников выбросов CO₂ и загрязнения воздуха вредными веществами и газами.

Любовь Трампа к углю объясняют не только его скептическим отношением к возобновляемой энергетике. Причины здесь в первую очередь политические — угольная промышленность обеспечивает рабочие места в важных для республиканцев штатах: Западной Вирджинии, Вайоминге, Кентукки и Пенсильвании. Поэтому поддержка угля для Трампа — это способ показать своему электорату, что он защищает их рабочие места. А ради голосов на выборах можно забыть про экологию и рассказывать байки про то, что ветряками пользуются только "лохи".

🇺🇸 Вчера Палата представителей США неожиданно нанесла политическое поражение Трампу и руководству Республиканской партии, приняв законопроект о поддержке Украины и новых санкциях против России.

Документ был одобрен 226 голосами против 195. Он предусматривает более $1 млрд прямой помощи Украине, до $8 млрд кредитов на закупку вооружений, а также расширение санкций против российских банков, энергетического сектора и лиц, связанных с поддержкой российской военной машины.

Законопроект был вынесен на голосование через редкую процедуру discharge petition, которая позволяет обойти руководство Палаты представителей, если документ поддерживает большинство членов палаты. Фактически умеренные республиканцы объединились с демократами и добились рассмотрения документа вопреки позиции партийного руководства и Белого дома.

По данным Associated Press, все демократы поддержали инициативу, а к ним присоединились 18 республиканцев. Многие из них представляют конкурентные округа или традиционно выступают за активную роль США в международной политике.

Администрация Трампа выступала против законопроекта, утверждая, что новая помощь Украине может осложнить перспективы переговорного урегулирования войны. Однако голосование показало, что внутри Республиканской партии сохраняется заметная группа законодателей, не согласных с курсом президента по украинскому вопросу.

Понятно, что говорить о принятии закона пока рано. Документ должен пройти Сенат, где руководство республиканцев обладает значительно большим влиянием. Кроме того, даже в случае одобрения Конгрессом Трамп сможет наложить на него вето.

Тем не менее само голосование стало одним из самых заметных проявлений сопротивления части республиканцев внешнеполитическому курсу Белого дома.
