Govt procures vaccines through either direct procurement or Co-finance with GAVI (a global vaccine organisation).
Government did not pay the Ksh. 900 million required to secure vaccines. Hence the nationwide shortage. Anyway, treasury has claimed they have finally released money and vaccines should be arriving in Kenya next month (mid June). Until then, we sit tight, hope and pray.
