Heartiest congratulations to former India cricketer Shri Pragyan Ojha (@pragyanojha) on becoming Chairperson of the BCCI Men’s Selection Committee. He takes on an important responsibility for Indian cricket, and as an Odia cricketer, he makes us especially proud. My good wishes to him and the entire committee as they identify and support the country’s best talent.
While you sleep, your brain’s natural waste-clearance system becomes active, helping remove metabolic by-products that accumulate during the day. Quality sleep also supports memory, concentration and emotional well-being.
Give your brain the rest it needs by maintaining a regular sleep schedule, limiting late-night screen time and aiming for sufficient, uninterrupted sleep.

Honored in Doha, Qatar.
Humbled to have been conferred the International Founder of the Year 2026 award by the Federation of Global Engineers at the 59th Engineers’ Day celebration in Doha, Qatar.
I could not attend due to prior commitments, but my representative received the award on my behalf from His Excellency Dr K. Srikar Reddy, Ambassador of India to Qatar. My sincere thanks to him and to the Federation for this honour.
On Maha Ashtami, my good wishes to everyone. I pray to Maa Mahagauri for the health and happiness of all.
Even on a festival morning, my day begins with KIIT & KISS. I spent the early hours doing fieldwork with our development team, visiting the campuses and discussing what needs to be done next. Afterwards, we sat together for a cup of coffee. I always enjoy this time with the people who work alongside me every day.
There is always something more we can do for our students. Being there with my team, seeing the work for myself and planning the next steps gives me much happiness.
Having lived through poverty since childhood, I know how helpless a mother feels when she has nothing to feed her children. I also know how much it means to a child when someone cares, offers support and gives them a chance to study.
These memories have stayed with me throughout my life. They are the reason I find my greatest happiness in seeing my lovable KISSians grow up with food, care, education and the confidence to dream. When they become self-reliant and support their families, I feel grateful that we could play a small part in their journey.
On the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, my humble appeal is to help someone in whatever way we can. Help a child continue their education. Stand beside a family facing hardship. Let them feel that they are not alone.
No child should have to give up a dream because of poverty.
Deeply saddened by the stampede at a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata. My heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured and strength for everyone affected.
On Maha Saptami, the seventh day of Navratri, we offer our prayers to Maa Kalaratri. May she protect us from harm and give us courage through difficult times.
It gave me great happiness to spend time again with the 17-member delegation from Washington State, USA, including Washington State Senator Tina Louise Orwall and mayors of several cities. To have so many American policymakers together at KIIT & KISS was very special for our entire family. They visited our campuses, met my lovable KISSians and were very impressed by what they saw. Our students and staff were equally happy to interact with them.
Many of them wanted to know how such large institutions run so smoothly. As they went around, they could see for themselves that KIIT & KISS are system-driven, not one-person-driven. I have devoted my life to this cause, and over the years, we have built strong systems and a dedicated team of teachers and staff who keep everything going each day.
I thank our guests for taking such an interest in our work and for the affection they showed our children.
A very special day for our KIIT & KISS family as we welcomed a 17-member delegation from Washington State, USA, comprising Hon’ble Senator Ms Tina Louise Orwall, several Mayors and other distinguished guests.
To have leaders serving so many American cities come to Odisha, visit KIIT & KISS and spend time with my lovable KISSians is a matter of great happiness and pride. I was so happy to see our guests appreciate the discipline, talents and confidence of my lovable KISSians.
We were delighted to confer the KKIO Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 on ten distinguished members of the delegation for their contributions to public service and society: Washington State Senator Ms Tina Louise Orwall; Ms Dana Lynn Ralph, Mayor of Kent; Mr Thomas Wayne McLeod, Mayor of Tukwila; Mr Mark Douglas Mullet, Mayor of Issaquah; Mr Joseph Daniel Marine, Mayor of Mukilteo; Mr Ronald Jon Frederick, Mayor of DuPont; Dr Stanley Lalit Kumar Flemming, Mayor of University Place; Mr Mohamed Ali Egal, Mayor of SeaTac; Ms Denise Teresa McCluskey, Mayor Pro Tem of University Place; and Ms Toni Marie Troutner, Council Member of the City of Kent. My heartiest congratulations to each of them.
My heartfelt thanks to Senator Orwall and all our guests for their kind words and affection towards our children. Their visit will remain a cherished memory for our KIIT & KISS family.
Humble tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam ji on his birth anniversary. He believed deeply in young people and encouraged them to dream, learn and serve the country. We remember him with great respect for his simplicity and lifelong dedication to India.
Congratulations to my lovable KIITians and their teachers from the 5G Use Case Lab at the School of Electronics Engineering on winning the Best Innovation Award at the 5G Innovation Hackathon 2026, organised by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India.
7 teams represented KIIT, and 2 made it into the top 35 out of 1,455 teams from institutions across India. They presented their ideas at India Mobile Congress 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. I am very happy to see their hard work recognised and wish all our young innovators the very best.
On day 2 of Navratri, we offer our prayers to Maa Brahmacharini. Her devotion reminds us to keep faith and carry on with patience, even when life is difficult.
May Maa bless everyone with strength and peace.
I am grateful to have been unanimously elected the first President of the Indian UniSport Federation (IUSF) at its inaugural Annual General Meeting in New Delhi, in recognition of my tremendous contributions in sports in different capacities, particularly through KIIT & KISS.
This is the first time a federation like IUSF has been formed in India and recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Its objectives are to encourage students from government and private universities across India to take up sports, provide them with good training and prepare them to compete at international events, particularly the World University Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Olympics.
At our first Annual General Meeting, we decided not to charge students any fee to participate in the Federation’s sports events. We also decided to reduce the fees for both government and private universities by 50 per cent.
I have earlier served as President of the Volleyball Federation of India and worked with other sports bodies to promote sports in India. I am grateful to Hon’ble Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya ji for his support for this new Federation, and to the Ministry for recognising it. I hope IUSF will help our young athletes fulfil their dreams and contribute to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s vision for sports in India.
