1 John 2:15-16: Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
@KR3Wmatic The evidence is all around us. The fact of the universe (cosmological argument) and our own existence (fine-tuning argument) are both strong empirical arguments for God. Tell her that atheists need to believe in numerous miracles without any evidence to support their worldview.
@DerrickEvans4WV A lot of folks saying that “they’re not real Christians,” but I don’t think that’s true. More likely, they’ve been taught that it’s acceptable. The public and media blast out every day that abortion is acceptable, but most church leaders fail to discuss it…it’s never countered.
@LukeCerpinTaxt@CSLewisDaily Clearly you didn't read, or perhaps didn't understand, the article. Your strawman argument is a failure...God cannot be boxed in this overly simplified definition. God is just, and He loves us enough that He created a salvation mechanism so He can be both loving and just.
Interesting moment. Flying and and a mother with 2 young children are on the plane. Stewardess immediately pointed to me and another fit man and said we're going to be responsible for the kids if there's an emergency. Apparently, DEI doesn't matter when lives are at stake.
