Huge thank-you to @FordsTheatreNPS for their help in my research for the The Lincoln-Kennedy Coincidences...and for its role in sparking my interest in the topic with their fascinating museum.
New blog post on https://t.co/cjVLqTrL2D and Goodreads answering a question readers have been asking: what hasn't already been said about the Lincoln and Kennedy assassinations? https://t.co/Hc3kp2fCWS
On this Presidents Day, after years of researching 2 of our best in Lincoln & Kennedy, I’m struck by how each deserved so much better. And how we still reflect upon their deaths in the hope that learning about their legacies might help us become the people they inspired us to be.
Balancing historical research with a sprinkle of whimsy, The Lincoln-Kennedy Coincidences is the most substantial investigation of a folkloric American topic- shedding light on what makes these coincidences so intriguing and enduring. https://t.co/Ns9zGVfQt2 @McFarlandCoPub
From the compilation of the mysterious coincidences between the assassinations to the campfire story of a curse cast upon the American presidency, The Lincoln-Kennedy Coincidences is filled with captivating anecdotes that are downright hard to believe. https://t.co/Ns9zGVfQt2
It’s here! The Lincoln-Kennedy Coincidences is officially available in print and ebook…a witty exploration of the eerie similarities between the assassinations of presidents Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy - fittingly, just in time for Presidents Day… https://t.co/Ns9zGVfQt2
B-I-G thumbs up to @jknightwriter. I’ve been thoroughly entertained by his book, “Paul Brown’s Ghost,” chronicling the star-crossed existence of the #Browns AND #Bengals over the last 50-plus years — particularly after Brown passed away in August 1991. Fantastic read! 📕🏈 🐅
Catch me on an amazing new podcast hosted by former SI writer @Ben_Baskin (and featuring @Russo_Brothers, @3JimDonovan, and @mikepolkjr) that explores the Cleveland Browns' wonderfully crazy 1986 rock music video "Masters of the Gridiron." https://t.co/vh3Hoaiudc
@klodabest Better yet - maybe to keep the connection they’ll finally make my wish come true and put a banner up commemorating the division title they won in the movie!
@klodabest Thanks for the kind words! Totally agree with you on the first point - especially since Charlie was there for Game 7. Probably will lose a bit of a connection with the name change, but the team is so different today anyway (uniforms and stadium, mostly) and yet it perseveres.
The opportunity to write a story about monkeys swinging through a cemetery is among the top 3 reasons why anyone would go to journalism school. https://t.co/kYcoOzSb96
