The @IGADLeadership and the University of Tokyo are hosting a two-day research seminar in Nairobi, bringing together scholars and practitioners from across the IGAD region to advance scholarly dialogue on governance and conflict resolution in Eastern Africa.
ILA Director Dr Simon Nyambura thanked participants for their valuable contributions to the initiative and reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to fostering meaningful intellectual exchange. He also expressed gratitude to the Government of @japan and partner Japanese institutions for their continued collaboration.
Professor Hideaki Shinoda, representing ROLES Review of the @UTokyo_News_en, also commended the partnership between the Leadership Academy and Japanese institutions in promoting dialogue on issues affecting the region.
Seminar participants have authored articles under the theme "Conflict Resolution in Eastern Africa", which will be published by @roles_hq by the end of the year. #ConflictResolution #IGADLeadership

[IGAD Gender @IGADgender]

The @IGADgender in collaboration with @IGADLeadership is conducting a peer review consultation and curriculum validation. This inclusive, gender-responsive curriculum is designed to tackle Africa's leadership challenges and empower future leaders with the necessary skills to thrive in the continent's rich, multicultural environment.

This initiative is supported by @SweinEthiopia as part of the @IGADsecretariat Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Project.

KSG Director of Linkages, Partnerships & Collaborations Dr. Prisca Oluoch welcomed the team. The ILA-KSG partnership is a demonstration of the strong commitment by the two institutions to foster good governance in the region.
