@Tonysmarkettips Taking a wild guess who the next unemployed members of the Boston sports media are. But Bob Kraft, of course, will have nothing to do with it.
@Tonysmarkettips "But if Vrabel appeared to be under siege, those inside the organization say the team had already moved on."
ESPN, as always, taking the Patriots line. Foxboro's Pravda is published in Bristol.
@Tonysmarkettips Been this way for years. That is one of several reasons why the league issues no further penalties on the Patriots when it discovered the library of illegal tapes during Spygate. The evidence was so bad it had to be destroyed, but no penalties emerged from that discovery.
@sjsopm@Tonysmarkettips The other explanation is that the NFL is strong arming the Jets to not say anything about the obvious tampering. Remember, they got the man who is currently POTUS to give millions to Arlen Specter to get the feds to stop investigating Spygate. Pats and NFL are powerful - and rich
@7GOATrings@Tonysmarkettips Morgan Moses? How did she know where he was going to land before he was even able to talk to other teams? What about the impact of her reporting on Vrabel's interview with the Jets and how it might have helped him in his negotiations with the Patriots?
@Tonysmarkettips Finally, how much did her report on Vrabel having blown "the doors off" Woody Johnson and the Jets both help push him toward the Patriots job and land a more lucrative contract from Robert Kraft?
@Tonysmarkettips Without mention of how her reporting might have helped Vrabel-led teams land players like AJ Brown or Morgan Moses and sweeping under the rug her praise of Vrabel while giving him a competitive advantage makes this investigation woefully incomplete.
@Tonysmarkettips Also, any mention of her glowing praise of Vrabel's Patriots is justified because all media outlets praise the Patriots. When did media favoritism of one team become acceptable because everybody does it? No other media that we know of had the relationship she had with the HC.
@Tonysmarkettips At this point, I have read Marchand's piece and the full Semel report. There is no mention of any investigation into her posting Morgan Moses next to a Patriots logo before even legal tampering had begun. How did she know where he was going to sign before he was on the market?
@Tonysmarkettips This is the most Patriots thing ever. They will cheat any way they can. Fire alarms at visiting teams' hotels. Bugging headsets, and turning off visiting teams' headsets. Stealing playbooks. Their entire dynasty is just a culture of cheating.
@Tonysmarkettips Meanwhile, the NFL feeds on the media's bashing of the Jets. When ESPN constantly hates on the Jets, it just further feeds the narrative.
