I'm writing...about... A FAKE CASE. IT'S INSANE. THERE IS NO FACTUAL RECORD TO DISCUSS BECAUSE THERE ARE NO FACTS. What the fuck kind of Supreme Court IS THIS?
303 Creative has never sold wedding websites. There was no gay couple looking for her services.
Still, she admits she entered the public market in order to discriminate against LGBT people, citing her faith and a "calling from God."
The fact this case was even heard... #SCOTUS
@Michael64422597@itsJeffTiedrich If you run a business open to the public you have to follow the laws, from the Federal level down to the city level, regarding public accommodation and anti-discrimination. So, no, a public company CANNOT service whomever they want.
wait, do I have this right? nobody asked this jackass busybody to design a 'gay' web site β whatever the fuck that may be β but she took a stupid fucking hypothetical all the way to the Supreme Court and now we have state-sanctioned discrimination? fuck me, this is a shithole country
@ScottforFlorida So, Florida will be disenrolling all senior citizens from Social Security and Medicare? Privatizing police and firefighters? Refusing FEMA and disaster relief funds? Shutting down NASA facilities? Refusing the protection of the Federal military? Bold move, Senator!
This @Walgreens pharmacist in Oakland who refused to give a trans customer their medication until he "confirmed their diagnosis" should be fired so fast his head spins. https://t.co/tVE9KXuCM5
@Stonekettle Sadly in one oblique way he is almost right. Schools that teach inclusion and diversity tell kids who may be struggling with their own identity that they can be accepted no matter what, essentially giving those kids permission to lead authentic lives. Frightening to some.
