The move was prompted by a recent surge in Covid-19 cases and delays in contact tracing.

Breaking: An MU Health Care/School of Medicine system employee has died due to COVID-19.
The individual did not work in a clinical capacity with the general public or patients.
#Mizzou has said no students have been hospitalized with COVID-19.
But with spotty self-reporting and students returning to their hometowns, UM System President and MU Chancellor Mun Choi said the number can be “hard to know.”

Inbox: UM Sytem President & @Mizzou Chancellor @Munychoi4545 could face a lawsuit after blocking a number of users on Twitter. A letter requesting he unblock all accounts says it violates the First Amendment. It threatens to take him to court if the university doesn't respond.
MU now requires students to wear face coverings “whenever we are on campus, including outdoors” according to an email from the chancellor. This mandate was implemented after the university announced 271 new student cases Tuesday.
