1/14/25 Today I 💙 my job because I received a really nice email from a parent. After waking up with a headache, and having a really snowy drive into school, it really did brighten my day.

1/13/25 Today I 🤎 my job because a student brought me a large McDonalds Diet Coke. Now, it is understood from day 1 that we are a DIET PEPSI classroom, but who am I to turn down a free fountain drink. 😆

1/10/25 Today I 💚 my job because my classes had a pretty productive week! Sometimes it can be hard to come back from a long break and get back into the swing of things, but all of my classes are in the middle of large projects and have really come into 2025 ready to work!

1/9/24 Today I 🤍 my job bc I'm clumsy. I'm a hand talker and mid explanation I knocked my Alani off my desk. As it tumbled I managed to catch it mid air. A student commented "Ms. L! That was really athletic!" That's not a word used to describe me often so it made my day. 😂

1/7/25 Today I 💙 my job because a new season of @OAISDfuturePREP Academy has started and @MrsWhittecar and I have an awesome group of Eagles and Wildcats to work with! We are excited to work with Preferred Machine to help them solve their driving question.

1/6/25 Today I 💙 my job because we started our big project (Cereal Madness!) of the trimester. This was a great way to ease back in after break and the kids did a great job of investigating the reasons we buy cereal with bracketology, stakeholder maps and empathy maps.

12/20/24 Today I 🎄 my job because it is finally Winter Break! I think that every single Hudsonville Eagle was ready for today to come. See you next year kids!

12/19/24 Today I 💚 my job because I got to have coffee with a former student! Drew is a student at Grand Canyon University and each year when he comes home for Christmas we meet up for coffee to catch up and I love to hear all of the amazing things he is doing!

12/18/24 Today I did not love my job💔. The Christmas Break crazy hit Room 462 and as the kids say I may have "lost my chill". I think if I'm going to share why I love my job I should also share that some days are HARD. On to tomorrow!

12/16/24 Today I 💛 my job because a former student stopped by with my favorite candy! Chase graduated in 2022 but still remembered that KitKats were my fav!

12/13/24 Today I 🧡 my job because during our 1st presentations of the tri, each student got up with their group & presented without hesitation! I know that presentations strike fear into some, so I love that my classes made it an environment that everyone felt "safe" to present.

12/11/24 Today I ❤️ my job because it was a pretty low key Wednesday. We are creeping to the craziness leading up to Christmas Break so I will take any calm day I can.

12/10/24 Today I 🩶 my job because in Marketing we are studying customers so I had my students draw who they were as a customer. They were to depict their fav brands/hobbies & anything else that makes them special. We will use this in our target market explanations later on.
