I have decided that the X platform no longer fits in the messaging for myself or Life After Losses. If you are interested in further content, I would direct you to one of the other social platforms to follow me.
Happy #NationalAvocadoDay! Did you know avocados are packed with healthy fats and have more potassium than bananas? Fun fact: my first husband used to think avocado was only a color on appliances. #1970s ๐ฅโจ #AvocadoFacts
One thing that really bothers me right now is the division in the USA. This "US vs. THEM" mentality isn't helping the average American. We're supposed to be the UNITED States. We can do better. Maybe I should run for POTUS. ๐บ๐ธ #Unity#Leadership#BetterTogether
I'm thrilled with this feedback about the PURPOSE framework from Grief Recovery for Adults... especially about how the prompts guide the reader and help focus. That's what I was looking for! Thank you, Todd!
When I was in Rome last month, our tour guide raved about a place he took his family for meals: their spaghetti carbonara. Well, when it came time to have lunch, I had to order it, and... oh, my goodness! It was the best pasta I've ever had. Anywhere. La Botte Antica.
I've had some interesting reviews of my memoir. It covers my life, career, and journey as an out gay man, widowed twice, and raising children. Yes, it's personalโit's a memoir that includes my thoughts about my life.
Way back, when I first started writing Life After Losses, I had this crazy idea to list some pieces of advice. It wound up to be 13 pieces of advice for grieving. #10 was about stifling emotions (another one?) and allowing yourself to feel angry without feeling guilty about it.
I started working as a janitor's assistant for the school district when I was 13. I didn't work in an office for at least another decade. I've been working since then, and retirement is likely another decade from now. I'm no stranger to hard work, but I like my time off, too!
The latest member of the family, less about me and more about you finding the best path for your healing journey. If you've read it, please head over and share your honest thoughts... you might just help someone else: https://t.co/UxwKiBijmv
I'm getting really excited about this. In three weeks, I'll be on a soundstage filming my second feature (and we're planning a Christmas-time release?!?!). This is fun for me. #actor#villain
What?!?! Another post about emotions? Yep... Shame is one of those negative emotions we foist upon ourselves because of expectations others (and, worse, WE) set upon us! We're better than that, aren't we? Aren't you? https://t.co/X8xX7iqZ8u
I shared this collection of stories and strategies to cope with some of the various stages in the grief journey. If you've read it, I'd love for you to leave a review: https://t.co/S2KSbLr1rN
Grasshopper, what would you want to learn from me if you were my student? What can I teach you? (Side note: Is anyone else getting these 70s references that are coming out of my brain?)
A lot is going on over at Surviving Grief. You're missing out on something special if you haven't joined the group or read Gary's books. Check him out on Facebook or his website. I'm happy to share other people's stuff. It's not all about me! )
I'm a natural at creating chaos in my life. There's so much to do & so little time...and I want to do it all RIGHT NOW! Not even I can do that, so trying to make SENSE of chaos in my life is my superpower and kryptonite all in one. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
